I changed my primary oil out to Redline syn standard stuff. That made a noticeable difference in how the transmission works. I decided to go a few steps farther so I installed a Vance Hines exhaust and jetted to a 45 and 175 jet. I also put in a K&N air filter. The bike has come alive. I adjusted the air fuel ratio as well. The bike is loud. It also runs much better. It feels strong. I don't get back fire at all on the down shifts. The upper header has turned blue from just going around the block. It seems real good now. I will try to make it run a bit richer. I am at 2 1/2 turns out now. I don't want a lean condition. Also, I hope I don't get harassed by the fuzz. I get no pop or back fire like it did stock when I downshift. I think I am pretty close to having it nailed but what should I look for? | ||

I am going to try two washers to shim today. We will see if this changes anything. I suspect it will help bottom end. The adventure continues. Next It will be Diablo's and heavier oil in the front shock. | ||

Washers will help midrange. Have shims available when you change the fork oil. I'd add a half inch of shims because I dont think your suspension is broken in yet. After that you'll want to measure things out. Dont lose the stop rings/circlips when you change the fork oil. They are unavailable and very difficult to find. | ||

Hey thats exactly what i recently did on my bike (save the V&H, i already had that...) Glad to see you are enjoying the new mods  i just go the diablos too. they are totally sweet! |
