My blast isn't starting like it should, it sounds like its not getting enough power when I try starting. Could this be related to overtightening the primary chain, though it still sounded like it wasn't getting a whole lot of power when the chain was loose.

Just adjusted the idle speed and it starts easier, it also could be that I am starting it like I used to start my dirtbike, opening the throttle while starting it, yeah thats probably it.

Try to use the throttle as little as possible to start bike.

Ok that wasn't the probably I don't think, I noticed the losing power sound was coming from the airbox and opened it and a little smoke was coming out. I put duct tape around the inside circle part so that my k&n filter would fit in, is this the problem?

Also there is backfiring going on in or near the airbox which often causes it to stall out whilst idling.
