I was at a stop light and when I went to first gear and tried to take off I had no movement had to push the bike to a parking lot. When i was inspecting i notice the kevlar belt/chain was gone!!! Does anyone know where I can get the OEM part number or a place to purchase the belt from without spending to much $$$$. Is it difficult to replace? This is my first bike but I have a good knowledge on mechanics as i perform the maintenance on my cars. The bike currently has 9053 miles on it. Please help!! thanks!!!

It is VERY easy to replace:

Remove the 3 T27 Torx screws that hold the front pulley cover on.
Remove the 2 T27 screws that hold the top rear pulley cover on. (only disconnect the right side).
Pull the rear cover out of the way and slide the belt over the rear pulley, so its between the pulley and wheel.
Slide the belt over the front pulley.
Now slide/work the belt over the rear pulley. Having the wheel up in the air so you can spin it will make it easier to get on (kinda like putting a bicycle chain back on).
Re-install the 2 covers and 5 screws.
Ride off into the sunset : )

It can be done in 5-10 minutes. The rear wheel is not adjustable so removing it or loosening it wont do any good or make things easier. Above is basically how the repair manual will tell you how to do it.

If you fit the edge of the belt to the rear pulley, fitting it as best you can with no force, then roll the bike backwards a couple of feet, the belt will snap on and settle of its own accord - no force or prying needed.

You (obviously) need a different front sprocket. I dont remember if the Buell/Sportster 'sprocket' is the same tooth pitch.
I have seen Blast belts listed as 1" but the actual specs of the belt are different. I guess the one you bought is 1 ".
I think it may be possible to make it fit with stock parts, but i'm not sure why you'd want to run it with 25% of the belt hanging off the front sprocket.
Hope you get your money back.
