Just wondering how much the front brake should "drag". When I'm pushing it around the garage, I can hear it dragging on the disc. I know that a disc brake pad should always stay in contact with the disc in order to prevent sand and other debris from getting in between the two -- however I was wondering if it self adjusts - or if there is a way to tell if it is dragging too hard. FYI: The bike only has 600 miles on it, so the front brake may not even be broke in yet. | ||

If you can push the bike without any trouble,you're fine. If in doubt, jack the bike up & spin the wheel.If it spins you're fine.Disc brakes by their nature self adjust. | ||

What would make them drag really bad on a cold day, but work fine on a warm day? | ||

Using crappy oil that was designed for warm weather but had bad cold weather properties could do that, at least until the bike got warmed up a bit. | ||
