Thanks Fase...it was really easy...and the paint I used was KRYLON BBQ Black...any other brand looks like primer not Semi Gloss Black. It's the best paint I've found for automotive use...Thanks again dude!

Did you paint the swingarm while on the bike?

yes, and I painted the rims on the bike too...since I have the new tires waitin anyways...I just sanded as much of the swingarm as I could...then I just went for it. If its black, then the overspray will mostly go on the tire and undertail...and I blacked all that out anyways...good luck!

LOL, Nice job James. Definitely one of, if not THE nicest BLASTS I've ever seen (other than mine LOL). That seat is killer. Keep up the good work Bro.

On another topic, what if we had a bike of the month, year, whatever in the pic section? Just a thought...

When we go to new software, Discus can't handle it without using large bandwidth.

Thanks. Just goofing around after installing my new bars & grips.

After the cubings I thought about debadging the blast. I'm glad I didn't.

I like the ergonomics of those traction hand grips. I have the same ones on my bike.

Ditto Thump. I had to cut the cool ends off of the grips to mount my bar end mirrors...though I did save the ends of the Traction grips in case I can find something clever to do with them. Cool picture!!

I'm sure you could find something for them, I like that idea. I am going to go with a different style of bar ends. I want the style that goes onto the bar itself. That way I can put the bar weights on the end to stop mirror from vibrating. And it will stop the pesky problem of my mirrors just straight falling off the bike all together. Kind of a problem when I am only running one mirror!

You know the Kellerman units with recessed front and back signals are nice, and the brass super heavy duty - all I ever did was touch up the paint in a crash - easily over a dozen in all - and they still work great without ever doing anything to them. What more can you ask for?

I'm gonna do away with the windscreen and mount the headlight high since all that got a little damaged and skinned up. My only concern is making sure all the connectors and wiring is weatherproofed behind the headlight. I'm gonna reroute the wiring but the hard connectors still seem a little exposed.

Dont worry about the connectors being exposed, they'll be fine. You can wrap them in electrical tape for added protection as well as using dielectric grease on them to keep out corrosion and ensure a good connection.
The biggest problem is if you ONLY ride in the rain and they never have a chance to dry out. Wind (ie: riding) without rain does a nice job of drying them too.

you could mount a small piece of Plexiglas from under the top tree - with slots to allow some wiring through grommet-ed and rubber edged to cover the rest of the wiring from moisture.

I'm looking at doing something with that big plastic vibrating monstrosity that holds the plate & rear lights as well. The clip-in design is lovely but just not what I'm looking for in durability. I'm thinking minimalist these days. Oh yeah, EZ I enjoyed the airbox mod after puttin on a K&N, did that awhile back after reading your post. Controversy or not it did seem to work out pretty well given that the stock airbox is arguably a piece of crap.

Nothing wrong with the Dunlops. When the wind comes in and the rain comes in and your Blast scoots sideways at 65 MPH, it just makes the ride a bit more fun. /end sarcasm
