Awhile ago I was having issues w/ timing, well today I swapped out my ignition module for the a brand new one from Chicago Harley hoping to fix that issue as well as others. Got it installed just fine and only ran into a few snags getting the deutsch connector apart.

I still am having the same issue, the LED refuses to turn on regardless of what I do timing wise.

I got the mark mid window, no LED when rotating module either way, rotated the wheel again to make sure I was not 180 off and got the mark mid window again, still no LED.

I'm kind of at a loss, what else could be preventing the LED from lighting up. I don't think I'm doing the procedure wrong since I've followed the manual and every instruction I could find on here and buellforums.
Think I may make a video of my process so you can see if I am doing something wrong but this is starting to piss me off.

You do have the ignItion on AND the kill switch set to run?

If the bike ran with the other module (poorly or not) and you werent getting the LED light then, you are doing something wrong. Did the bike run with the other ignition module?
If you install the ignition module in the same place as the old module, that should put you close enough to run. Look for the marks made by the hold down screws of the other module.
Check for spark. You will get spark no matter what position the module is in. No spark means something is hooked up wrong or the module is bad.
Double check the wires at the deutsch connector. Its very easy to install them backwards (1 where 6 s/b etc.)

You my good sir are a genius and I am an idiot!

It was the kill switch. I got so hooked up on following the directions that I skipped over the fact I always turn the bike off by the kill switch first and usually don't flip it back till I'm ready to ride again

Thanks for the help man, that's one last monkey off my back!
