The hall effect sensor is the part sticking in from the inside of the ignition module. It's your basic interrupt style (HEI) and can not be replaced without destruction of the module.

It's not so tough to replace. You'll need a couple hooked pieces of metal or something to pull the retainer inside the Deutsch connector.

While I'm waiting for my module. I was reading the static timing documents. It seems to me that your doing the exact same thing in both documents but the alt. method says when the light is NOT illuminated, and the procees' leading up to that point seem similer, but any way which method seems to work better and is there a thread to to dynamicaly time the module. Once agian I would like to say I appreciate all of your help.

Luvdathump, Here's a thread I made when I was having module problems http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/442727.html?1240340985 I used the alternate method when I replaced my module. The standard method made my bike backfire from the exhaust. Make sure to read the first part of the thread that's archived at the top of the page I linked.

As far as I know there isnt a thread for the dynamic timing-its in the manual and you should have one.
Basically:
Remove the timing plug and replace with clear plastic plug (available at any place that sell HD parts).
set the rpms @ 1200 rpm.
Look for the 2 dots and line them up in the center of the hole (by turning the module).
The static method will put it right on the money, but it wont tell you if you have any other problems (IE you start it up and the 2 dots dont appear).

That's good to hear. It felt great to have my bike running the way it should. Glad you fixed it.
