what years will interchange? I might buy my dads but it is purple, the one color of bike I won't own. I think its an 02. |

It all interchanges. Any year bodywork will fit any year Blast. Its easily changed and often up on e-bay (super cheap to expensive) or someone will trade colours with you.
Keep in mind that black is the most popular colour, commands a higher price and is the colour everyone wants to trade FOR! |

I really want to change the plastics on my Blast. I love the orange and wonder if anyone has some laying around that they don't want or need anymore. As of now I need all 4 pieces. |

I think yellow is a little more popular than orange, so you may be in good standing for a trade. Have you also checked e-bay? Also check the "twin" Badweb classifieds:

Thanks Gear. I have checked ebay but have only seen 1 orange front fender in the past 3 or 4 weeks. I would be up for a trade except my son just dropped the bike and there is a little chatter on the rear tail piece. It was almost perfect before that. As far as the thread you posted, I thought I would get more responses in the Thumper section. I'd even consider buying them new if I could find a place on the Internet to order them. No Buell dealer(or ex-Buell dealer I guess) within 50 miles of me.

Most (all?) of our dealer sponsors have online ordering or at least mail order.
New is expensive (relatively) and if your Blast is bound to be dropped again, used is the better way to go.
Tank cover is about $220 new. Half that (sometimes more, sometimes a lot less) used. Black is the one colour that rarely goes cheaply. Scuffed is also cheaper and I'd rather trade for a whole set and if piece is scratched you can keep your eyes out for a replacement. As long as you dont need it yesterday, all bodywork comes up on e-bay regularly, all colours, all conditions, even custom painted and modified.
I can get you part numbers if you want to go the new route. Some places will offer free shipping or a 20% discount. |
