I'm going through a divorce, and my wife doesn't want her Blast anymore so since I've grown attached to it I've decided to keep it. It is red, and I'd like to change up the bodywork. If anyone has a complete set of bodywork collecting dust in a color other than red I'd be interested in it. And since I'm going through a divorce I'm not all that rich right now either, so please keep that in mind. I'd also consider pieces-parts if you don't have a complete set. I'd really like a crazy color like purple or yellow, but will consider anything other than red. Let me know if you can help me out, thanks... | ||

Hogluvr - I'm really sorry to hear about your divorce! Hopefully it was of the "We both agree this is what we want..." types and not the "So Bob, I'm leaving you for the hot young doctor and moving to Europe while taking all of you money and most of 'our' stuff that is 'mine' anyways because I picked it out..." types. If you had asked this question 2 years ago I would have been all over it! I did indeed have a purple Blast, but it has since gone black. However, I still have the tailpiece, front fender and tank cover...the only problem is that they have been painted!! I THINK that if I were to sand them back down and do something to them (you could ask EZ?) to en essence "re-finish" them, you could have all but the flyscreen in purple! Anyways I hope all goes well with the divo and I would like to be the first to say good choice on keeping the Blast! | ||

Thanks, it is definitely a mutual thing, hopefully I'll get past this some day. I'm not quite sure if there is a way to "bring your stuff back" to purple, but I'll definitely keep it in mind if nothing else becomes available, thanks!! | ||

i was thinking of going red ... and i too am going through a mutual divorce. i have yellow as seen in my profile pic. did a slight tail mod recently but i didn't cut any subframe so it would bolt right up. are your plastics in good shape? | ||

The tailpiece has some gouges in it from the previous owner stapping his lunchbag to it, otherwise the plastics are in great shape. I'm moving out tonight so I will only have internet access now and then, if you don't hear from me for a few days this is why, sorry to hear you're going through the same stuff... | ||

well, for the first time (in 4 months) since I learned to ride and bought my bike used, I laid it down yesterday. I am ok, just feel stupid. Broke off my front turn signal and scraped a bit of the left-side rear tail and the left-side windscreen. Will post pics on my photobucket and send you (Hogluvr) the links Guess you wont want to trade plastics now. I still only have a Battle Blue tank panel. I've bought 2 sets of yellow of e-bay for very cheap or reasonable . Winter is coming too which lowers prices. Be prepared to wait, people like to over price stuff. (I've seen Buell footpegs and turn signals go for 2-3 times the price of new!!!) Black is the most sought after and most expensive colour. All other colours are less in price and often go without a competing bid. Less than perfect panels are a bargain. | ||
