Had a problem with sidestand switch so I bypassed it. Then the next time I rode it, the neutral light stays lit in all gears. Starts fine, idles down as it warms up, backfires a couple of times but seems to run ok. Just that neutral light stays lit the entire time while riding, all gears, all speeds.?????

For the popping - change your intake boot.
For the rest - what did you do to override it?

The "intake boot" refers to what exactly?

Before my battery totally died I started getting the popping through the airbox also. Figured Id get a new battery, clean the carb out, and change the manifold coupler and that problematic gasket

Intake boot=manifold coupler.
Problematic gasket?= Rocker cover gasket?

If you unbypass the switch, does the neutral light go back off?

I'm a new Blast owner and last night my bike sputtered and backfired to death... With a full tank of premium the bike staggered and stumbled snapped crackled and popped for about two miles... It idles like a champ but soons I go to accelerating it starts it's antics... Had it ride now more than 10 mph or very close to idle speed

So I'm reading that drivability are attributed to the intake boot or is it another component? I'm reading the manual and it's leading me to believe it's an ignition problem. I'll be testing my coil and module/cam sensor. Now dunno if I left this out but I dropped the bike two weeks ago on its right side where the module is located... Could this have caused damage to it or misaligned something?

Das Boot - intake coupler needs replacing. You dropped the bike on the coupler side - probably making a tear bad enough to shut you down - replace.
