All they did was add a Sportster carb, hope they jetted correctly. Ride it about 50 miles and check the plug - if its just dark brown - they probably did ok, but chances are its black and too rich - a 42 primary and 155 main would probably be close due to the secondary jet that the Blast doesn't have enrichening the mix.

So, welcome Shakepear!
Have you run your bike with the new carb yet?

Jetting would depend on if they kept the accelerater pump connected, otherwise its jetted the same as a stock Blast carb. I dont think backing the jetting down to 42/155 is far enough for the pump still connected and that may leave it lean in constant rpm running.

Or is EZ getting info from someone currently running a CV carb w/ pump connected? (do tell)

Shakespear, let us know how it turns out.

FWIW: I just put a stock re jetted 2000 carb on my streetBlast and its never started, ran or idled better! When they work, they work nice.

That secondary pump puts even more fuel into the mixture than my Dial-A-Jet and I run 45/155 - so I'm betting he's running real rich on the main and a bit on the primary.
A plug check after about 50 miles would tell the tale. Bet its black - lol

"That secondary pump puts even more fuel into the mixture than my Dial-A-Jet"Heck yea! Thats why I've always recommended disconnecting the pump. Its really (really) rich and chokes the engine and its much simpler to tune in with the pump linkage disconnected, it gets jetted just like a stock Blast carb. Then try tuning it with the pump connected (if still desired).
The manual 'choke' is also really rich-makes me wonder if thats one reason the went to a different & auto 'choke'.
