I do know they make some small fog/auxillary lights that are amazingly bright, even during the day. I've seen them on a friends BMW and at the BMW dealer and various catalogues. PIAA might be the maker. Sorry I dont have any more info. | ||

I saw this and thought I would add I bought some fog lights from autozone (16 dollars) and mounted them to two of the holes on the headlight bracket. I will try adn upload a picture.  | ||

what did you use to mount those saddlebags? are they just throw over? do they rub the tires? do you have a bracket to keep them off the tire? | ||

Couldnt tell you how much, but I run a 55w H4 bulb, a 110w H4 bulb and an electric (Widder or Aerostitch) vest, all at the same time and the bike will still start and charge. | ||

I just decided to improve my light profile using generic hand guards and automotive LED strips that I wired in the low beam harness. I don't yet have any pics of the work behind the scenes (yet) but here is a photo of finished product. Because they are wired into the low beam harness the LEDs are always on unless running the high beam - which is what I wanted. The inspiration was the hand guard concept from the Buell "City" bikes and the Audi LEDs. Parts: (1) Universal hand single point mount hand guards (many are made for snowmobiles)-ordered from OZG Motors on eBay. I ordered a pair with a small "shelf" for the LED strips. (2) Automotive (all weather) white LED strips (found on eBay - there are zillions) (3) Small, super bright LED turn signals from my friends at American Torque (they provided my LED tail light and roll-a-click style levers) Work Effort: (1) Drill hand guards for turn signal mounting and LED wiring (2) Affix LED strips to hand guards using automotive adhesive (3) Bolt turn signals to hand guards (4) Install the hand guards (have to separate the control pods from the grips slightly) (5) Affix the turn signal reducers (they are light and small so I zip-tied them to the wiring/tubing harnesses on each side) (6) Wire the turn signals to the existing signal harness (7) I spliced the LED wiring into the low beam harness but this may not be want everyone wants. . . You could also wire a switch in here. Once the adhesive had dried the total installation time was less than an hour. I have the set-up for a month now and it works great to change the profile at night and in parking garages.  |
