Has anyone here parted out a Blast yet? I know what I can get for the aftermarket add ons, but I am trying to get an idea of what the rest of it might bring. Minus the add ons it is a stock 2003, undamaged, 2500 mile bike. The resale is terrible on these things so I am trying to recoup some of my investment after the wife decided she doesn't want to ride anymore.

Thanks

Tom

Juggalo94 was asking for an engine for an engineering project where he works, look over on the parts for sale board.

Its a bad time of year to sell a bike in Michigan. I am almost ready to sell the Sportster and get another Blast. What color is yours?

Swampy:

I saw his post. What is a good Blast engine worth, anyway?

I realize it is the wrong time to be selling a bike, but from what I've seen Blasts have practically no resale value even when bikes are in season.

The Blast is Sunset Orange with the rare gay factory graphics delete package. Crossroads bars, Banke rearsets, both seats, Buell bags.

What are the particulars on your Sporty? I've always wanted one of those.

The picture is in my profile, its a 91, 1200, with about 41,000 miles, 11" rear shocks, FatBoy rear wheel, Optima dry cell battery, runs great, but I am always driving one of my kids Blasts. I don't think I have ridden it for 2 months now.

Swampy:

That is a sweet looking Sporty. She's got some miles on her, have you ever gone through her? What are you looking to get out of it?

I wish I had the extra cash to even out the difference between yours and mine (provided you were interested in mine).

I guess if it doesn't sell that will give me an excuse to modify it. At least it's paid for.

Tom_K,
I am interested in the Banke rearsets as well if you plan to part out the bike vs. selling complete. When you get a chance let me know what you want for the rearsets.
