i like the kickstand. the passing lamps are better suited to the big windshield than the flyscreen though. as far as the forward controls go, it would be interesting to see close-up pics to see the mounting. |

Like most of the modifiers - they did it through the front lower header mount - easy-peasy. - lol

Plus a long stabilizer bar.
Far easier and better looking to just mount them like rearsets with plates off the cam and primary covers. You can then mount a stabilizer bar between the two plates, if you run them out far.
You'll definitely see that Blast coming down the road! |

It's a Vetter Rooster, Two major benefits, For once I have a windshield high enough to keep the wind over my head AND... a radio!! The Blast (I only have one now) has become my commuter. I live only 8 miles from work but it can take me 45 minutes to way over an hour to get there. The radio has become a blessing while I sit in traffic.

LA.. been there, done that, I did a lot of service work there for my old job. LA has sheer traffic volume, MN has sheer traffic stupidity. The norm here is that everyone has to merge onto the highway at a heart stopping 40 MPH (if they don't stop at the end of the ramp first) and immediately cut across all lanes, at once, without looking, and get into the left lane where they can then decelerate to a much more reasonable 35MPH... and resume texting...

I'm about to mount a Viper Stryke 140/70 today. I'll let you know how it goes with the shock tab if I need to smash it or cut it out. I've got a 110/90 Roadrunner on the front and it has made a big difference. 4000 miles on it and it looks new. Can't say that for the back Roadrunner as it is toast. They were put on at the same time. |

The Pirelli ST66 in the oversized is what you should have put on for mileage - Mags just got over 11,000 miles on hers!
SH - actually - if I was the commuter-type - I would probably do something like that - that looks very well done - Mags will probably be jealous - cause you got tunes - lol

It took 2 mounting prototypes to get it.. good enough.... This winter I might do one more attempt. I'm 1/8 inch away from locking the fork. (it locks with the tank skin off) The fairing mounts to the old headlight brackets (of course) and the headlight mounts to the fairing. The first prototype done last winter had it 1/2 inch back and 1 inch lower but my fingers hit the speakers when I went for the levers. The speedo sat in a "dash board" I made that bolted into the old speedo mount holes and attached to the fairing where you see the two rods going up. It looked pretty clean and I might do that again if I move the fairing again. I'm getting close to the center-line of the axle and I don't know if I do want to go any further forward. Any thoughts on that??
I wasn't sure how it was going to affect the handling but I barely notice the difference. I'm sure harder riders like EZ or Erik would feel it. |
