What front caliper would match ours if we needed one - and as has happened to me - no dealer has one and I'm waiting 2 weeks on order so far from Chicago HD - the Ninja - surely since we share pads with so many bikes - there would/could be a match up?

Never had CALIPER problems on anything that "i" have ever owned because the MASTERCYLINDER "FLUID" gets changed once a year !!!
One thing for sure, this caliper is used on
other BRANDS MODELS, THE BIG PROBLEM IS WHICH ONES ...
Have any MOTORCYCLE RECYCLED PARTS places in your AREA ???
Do not tell them what is off of, just that you want one ...

HELP!!
What's the easiest way to remove the pin plug? Is it threaded in or is it just a plug to pry out? I tried screwing it out with a screwdriver and got nowhere. . . But I don't think anyone has done any serious work on the front in years as the bolts show some signs of rust as I remove them all.
The brake thing is really slowing down the addition of my new Pirellis so a prompt response would be greatly appreciated! |

Are you replacing pads? If not then they dont need to come out. Just undo the caliper mounting bolts, spread the pads apart with a screwdriver or by hand (push,pull and twist the caliper by hand), then pull the caliper off and from the wheel. Make sure its BETWEEN spokes or it wont come off. Also, it just barely slips past the rim. Its a tight fit, but believe it or not you can actually remove the wheel without doing anything to the caliper but spreading the pads (you wont get the wheel on that way though)! |

Thanks, I wondered if that would work but didn't want to pry too hard - 
For future reference - like replacing the pads (next year I think), is the plug screwed in or just pushed in? |

Screwed in - use PBBlaster. Avoid it on the disc though.

Does anyone know how to remove the floating aluminum ( silver ) bracket from the Caliper ?
Sending Parts out for powder, would like to add this one part.

just slides off use synthetic caliper grease when you put it back on. I need a cap that takes a screwdriver to remove to access the pad retaining pin.if any one has a good one from a bad caliper, the pic above shows it well on the left side of the caliper. 3606010597 CV |
