I just purchased a new Jardine exhaust for my full stock 05 Blast. My question is, do I HAVE to rejet? Will not rejetting cause any damage to the bike. I know it is highly recommended to do so in order to get the full potential out of the mod, but is it neccessary right away? I don't want to damage the bike, but I want to improve the sound first. I do plan on rejetting at a later date.

Jmorristn,
A month or two ago I would have been on the same bandwagon as EZ, and say rejet, but you might get away with the stock jetting with the stock intake. If the bike starts pinging, or spark plug readings show signs of leanness, I'd definitely rejet.

But you are sure missing out on alot by not rejetting, and once you do you will regret that you didn't do it sooner.

Yea,I know I'll be missing on the performance, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't hurt the engine. I will def rejet in the future.

Did you also purchase the the quiet insert module that is supposed to reduce the sound down to about 92-95dba? If so let me know how it works. The one place I was looking said they could mill it to whatever inside diameter is needed.

Jmorristn..., I rejeted my Blast with my new Jardine exhaust, and I can tell you that it will change your bike. Rejet is easy, as EZ got a very clear instruction on how to do it. look in the how to Carb Section..this is not Rocket science, just some common sense and you can do it. I did it.., and this was my first time working on a Bike..you can see my bike in the Cafe Project folder.

Re jet not immediately necessary! What do the instructions that came with the exhaust say? Follow their recommendations.
I have ridden miles and miles at 80+ mph without the rejet. As previously mentioned, if it knocks and pings or overheats, then worry.
