I bought this bike just a month ago; I quite like Buells (I've had 7, over the years), but had never had an X1, until this one. This bike is a hoot, but the riding posture just doesn't work so well for me. At 66 years young I need an upright, dirtbike-style posture, and so I think I'll go back to looking for another XB12Ss Lightning. The X1 has a slight forward lean, which most folk would probably not notice, but which my back does indeed notice. To my eye the X1 is more attractive than the coveted XB12Ss, but my back doesn't care about that, If the previous owner was telling me true (he seemed honest, supposedly he and his wife are missionary types), this bike has less than 7K miles. But the speedo/odo aren't working, and so I can't say that I know for a fact what the mileage is. Previous owner told me that his mechanic told him that the bike just needs the speedo sensor doohickety replaced to make it work again (the odo mileage shows on the LED screen, but does not change). Otherwise, the bike is in very nice condition cosmetically and functionally, if not totally pristine. It's a little rowdy, with a Vance & Hines pipe and Power Commander electronics, but not obnoxiously loud, by my reckoning. The tires look mostly new, and it has a nicely done all-aluminum tail-tidy kit, and LED turn signals. I just changed the oil with full-synthetic. It has a SC title.    | ||
