Now you see it...
Now you don't!
The bracket is available for do-it-yourself folks now and complete kits with hardware, caliper, brake line, and hardware will be available soon. And BTW, our set up saves a full pound of unsprung mass! Get yours here! That is SO cool ! Would you be able to do that for tube-frame? Or at least something comparable to the Free Spirits mounting as sold by Trojan Horse? |

Will the current brake line/hardware/caliper work as-is, or will they have to be lengthened/shortened/shaved, etc? |

Keith, Same question as Jandj davis.... The wording of "Caliper and hardware not included. Kits including brake line, caliper and hardware will be available SOON." make it sound like they ARE needed, in addition to the bracket. PS Keith, spools look great, at least they would if the Uly wasn't sitting at the dealer for weeks waiting for parts. |

J. V. - Thanks! I really don't know without having a tuber to look at. Can you send photos? Josh - The OEM Caliper is simply too big. I tried! The OEM brake line does not have the correct angle on one end but the 3/8-16 hardware can be reused. Hey Scott - Glad you like the sliders. Regarding the caliper, yes, you will need the Brembo caliper, brake line, and two 5/16-18 bolts and washers. Keith |

Hey guys, found this on eBay and it is CHEAP. Hope it helps someone, it looks correct. I'd do the mod, but I don't use my rear brake as it is. ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-DUCATI-749-BRE MBO-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ 35615QQihZ004QQitemZ140204046412QQrdZ1QQsspagename ZWDVW --Sean |

Sean - That's the caliper that I have on my bike for two reasons: One, it has large pads which should equate to long life. Two, it allows you to route the brake line underneath the swing arm if you are so inclined. I think that you may be able to beat that price... Thanks, Keith |

Yeah, I thought it looked correct. I love how clean your setup is and I would be interesting if it makes the rear brake more than just dead weight. Honestly, I hardly ever use my rear brake or I would do this conversion - maybe down the line when you offer a full kit... First I need front fork sliders to match my rears. --Sean |

Hello Chris, There are various sources from which you can purchase the caliper, eBay being one. I purchased one for $25 and another for $50. I'll PM you and get a spec sheet for the calipers to you. Keith |

Norrie, Can't tell from your pictures, did you use the caliper with the top mount or side mount for the brake line? Also, did you use the stock line or another line? |

Did you click on the pics? The line mounts on top of the caliper. The standard line is no good as the angle of the fitting is wrong. I bought a Goodridge build a line system. It's a 550mm line plus the two banjo fittings. I would say you would want a 600mm line. The thing with the build a line system is you fit the banjos yourself so you can set the angle of the fittings yourself once you tighten everything up. I bought the caliper off E-Bay for £20 ($40) Norrie. |
