Just read your 25 years of Buell, wondering if another is in the works or planned... perhaps to be written within the next year or so; detailing the the last tumultuous 1.5 years and outlining Erik's restart into the MC industry? |

It could be a while. There'll be a few years of "remind me to tell you about the time............" first! |

ahahahah. Court, none of my business, but how did the book do number wise? the catalog that helps sell it. are they pleased with the sales? I was wondering if city libraries around the country order books like this for their shelves? who markets to them? This would be a bit of USA transportation history, I would think? How about barnes and noble, amazon, etc. Any electronic versions for the Ipad, kindle, etc? How come Jay Leno has not had you and Dave on his show? How come Cycle world has not done an interview with you guys on your motorcycle writings and experience? Thanks, REX |

The publisher (Whitehorse) is pretty happy. The first run sold out a bit faster than he thought it would and it has been reprinted. Took about two years, I would think the next reprint will not be for another two or three years at which point we might update and revise it if the publisher wants to. The book has been marketed through all his usual channels and they do know what they are doing. WE got a nice blurb in CW, rather doubt we would warrant a feature story. Leno would be cool but he has a mass market and they would not have much interest in such a niche product I am afraid. I don't think the publisher is quite ready to go the electronic route yet. They are pretty conservative. You can get the book from Barnes and Noble but they don't carry it. If enough of you went in ad asked about it maybe they would bite. I am pretty sure the publisher makes a lot more money on it when you buy it from his website so less volume means more profit. Places like B&N want to buy the book at a very deep discount and then when sales drop off they return all unsold copies full a full refund. Not a very good deal for the publisher. |

All the articles published in the last year alone could take up several chapters...And another 3 or 4 for all the "remind me to tell you sometime" stories. (Heck, that would make a great title for the book, LOL!!) I'm looking forward to a second book, and to see where all this goes. |

Well we can't republish those stories but Steve Anderson's CW bit would be quoted. The big issue is size, we have to add enough material to fill, I think, 32 more pages. One sheet of paper on the press equals 32 pages in the book. That is a lot of material. I don't think we are going to rewrite and rearrange the whole book, which would be a way to add more material and we could be less careful about what we said since H-D is not gonna care, we are pretty much stuck with adding an addendum. Of course we have to sell a few thousand more copies before we figure that out dave |

Maybe a banner ad that wasn't soft pink would help? |
