If you've ever wandered what the lure of the Hudson Valley is in the fall . . . check it out. It's gorgeous year round . . but becomes ablaze with the onset of fall colors . . . . We met a group of Buell Riders warming up for the Headless Horseman Buell ride tomorrow . . . visit for a bit and then Mike and I sat about to take some photos . . the group rode past while we were working and we captured a few images of them . . . . I do think today was **THE** day for fall colors . . . but, alas, we'll al try again tomorrow.

: )

For some of the younger guys . . . . this is something I started doing when I was riding LOTS (as in back and forth . . coast to coast and a couple thousand miles a week of testing) and it's not a bad idea. I used to always keep one on my helmet, one in a clear window in the tank bag and one affixed to each side of the swingarm (bikes nearly always end up on their side, not standing up . . except for Ron Major). . something to think about.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS: One thing I have learned about riding as I get in my "sunset years" is that I'm not as quick as I once was. . . . one of the great risks is folks who THINK they can defy the laws of nature. Another thing is that I need to work harder to maintain situational awareness. I **SAW** these bikes at the top of the hill and I **KNEW** I was just idling along taking photos . . . out of nowhere One bike passes me on the right . . .another on the left. Fortunately . . . I still know to hold the line I am on and not do anything stupid. I SHOULD have been aware of them, knew they were coming and stayed clear the hell out of their way. Growing old's a bitch. : )

Fantastic pics Court! I wish the rain would go away so I could make a run up into the Dolomities and grab some pics of the colors with the snow on the mountain tops.

Spectacular collection of photos, Court. I enjoyed them a great deal.

Your Uly is extra special -- you've got THREE headlights out!

those pics are absolutely gorgeous. It's a shame that there are no pic opportunities like that in Florida....one day I may have to make a trip up north

Those are the HVMP Extra Heavy bar ends. (www.hvmp.com)

They were designed with the Ulysses handguards in mind, and work fantastic.

Thanks Froggy, a friend just bought a Uly,loves it but he has quite severe Reynards and also some skin grafts on the palms of his hands. This should help.

Mike and Court,
Great shots as always- I've got some inspiration! I've never really had the opportunity to ride on that area much, need to get up there!

I LOVE the train picture!!!

Pretty nice pics, Mr. Canfield...
I notice the only "tuber" in the bunch was the bicyclist!

Hmm, does a Throttlemeister have the same effect as the HVMP ends?

I do see Crusty's yellow O-ring cruise control on Court's bike.

Court,
Like I've said before, some take pictures, the good ones take photographs.
Sadly try as I might, I'm in the former group....
The above photos definitively show which category both of you are in....

I am with you Brad. Try as I might it seems I get frustrated with my lack of skill. I really enjoy Mike's pictures and having met him and know what a great guy he is just ads to the enjoyment.

I must say I really liked the picture Court took in another thread of an old bridge. It looked like it had been there since the country was new.
