We're not quite to "fall colors" yet in the Hudson Valley . . . but it was a great day. I was trying to sort through about 400 photos and toss out the bad ones and the pile remained at 400. Here are a couple.

I'm going to start going 2 weekdays a week for the next month . . . there are few places as pretty as the areas around NYC in the fall.

Amazing pics. Depth of field is spectacular, what lens and settings are you using?

Very nice.

Mohunk and the surrounding areas are so nice this time of year - I really miss that 3 weeks of perfect weather up there. It's probably already snowing up further in the Catskills where I used to live.

Great shots! Keep 'em coming!

Looking at the excellent color metering and great shadow/highlight management, I'm gonna go ahead and guess Nikon ... probably D700. Lens? I dunno'. Guessing game ... 24-120 VR?

I sed 3 lens that day. 50mm, f1.4 . . . . 70-200mmVR, f2.8 and a 24-70mm, f2.8/4.

I have two favorite settings:

  • along the side of a road
  • on a ledge

I'm working on others as Mike teaches . . . I'm learning slowly and may drive him mad with my incessant stupid questions.

Sweet pix, even without any hot chicks in boots.

Petite Italian ladies in tennis shoes are good, though!
