Some of you are car nuts. . . . so is our new neighbor. She decided to have a car show in her front yard. Odd . . but fun . . to walk 100 yards to a car show.
Anyway . . . it was a perfect day and it was an absolute hoot. I was going to take the pickup over . . but decided against it.
I'd embarrass you by driving you around in my car that cost less than the carbon brake option used to. (Note: . . .and man will this be a relief . . . the Carbon brakes now come standard on the California but the fricin' Avio Blue is a $5,000 option . . ya can't win).
Yeah . . .things are high rolling' here . . see if you can guess which set of wheels are mine?
>>>>I bet your the only person out of that group that does not mind if you get a door ding..
I am also the only one who got stuck that day . . . in a moment that, at least to me, was hilarious . . . . we decide we can push the thing out of the mud.
One guy gets in . . . . me and the fellow who owns the pristine white Cayman next to the truck . . .get behind and start to push.
We failed to issue the "do not floor it" command and were both covered in mud.
Yes . . . people who don't know me may not like me and not know why . . . my friends dislike me for good and valid reasons.
Funny to see that humble Fiat 124 Sport Spider (I had a '69) with all the Ferraris and Lambos.
Seeing the Iso Grifo reminded me that I saw one parked on the upper deck of the Minneapolis airport garage a few years ago. Must have been well insured.
I lived in an apartment on the north side of Chicago and parked my 124 on the street. That beautiful nose really took a beating from 'skilled' parallel parkers. I paid $250 to get it fixed (real money in '74) and it was bashed within days; never again. I was able to park my BSA off the street.

Waaaaay cool! Some really lovely toys. Thanks for sharing Court
Seeing the Iso Grifo... The Iso wins the cool points for me . I was looking at that pic thinking I should know what it is, it's a... it's a... It was on the tip of my tongue, really...
Thanks for some great pictures Court. And thanks for starting with a shot of a Sprint Speciale. I had one thirty years ago. Alfa made fewer than 1600 of them and I've always regretted selling mine. The pictures brought back a lot of good memories.
Another neighbor having an "in the yard" car show this weekend. . . i swear they don't drive these things . . they just park them a different place every weekend.
One guy down the street got a Ferrari in a metallic root beer color with a saddle leather interior but I've never seen it except in the drive way a couple times. I'd love to see him roll that out.
Heck . . I may even wash the truck, with it's newly bashed rear quarter panel, and park it there just to confuse them.
I dunno...you always seemed pretty OK to me. Anyone who brings a box-o-coffee to a campground first thing in the morning is alright in my book
Which reminds me...a bunch of us will be at TWO next weekend....
Very nice cars. Wish my neighborhood was that nice...but then again, I'd just bring the property values crashing to the ground as soon as I parked my Jeep there!
