. . .

The lore is that FLY FISHING was "invented" here . . . I've not a clue if that's true but there is LOTS of fly fishing. . . the entire area is nothing but hunting and fishing lodges, streams and lakes.

Yep . . that's a house . . the "barn" is out of sight behind it.

It takes a masters' master carpenter to get those wavy slab boards just right.

Man Court, that is some neat stuff.
Old World craftsmanship at its best.
They couldn't build stuff like that today, know one knows how.

Can't be--it's north of I-10!

>>>Can't be--it's north of I-10!

Good news . . . she's got a Bastrop real estate magazine laying here and your ranch address is being used as an "orientation flag" for her search area radius.

When I retire I'm never going to look at snow again . . . I had a house in Addison, TX when I had my office in Dallas and I really miss it.

So . . . we'll likely end up somewhere south of I-10. For now I'd like to build a "NYC Escape Hideout" . . basically a well, sewer system, stand alone power and a nice 3 car garage with a place to live on the 2nd floor. About all I need is a slab, some walls a big fireplace, 4 wheel drive and I'm good to go.

We own a small piece of land near Lake Tenanah. We haven't been up there in a long time . . . but will likely start getting up more often.

I'd like to build a barn on the place and keep dirt bikes there.

It's gorgeous country.
