Vickie and I have Boss Hawg's cater our New Year's Party every year in NYC.

It's always fun watching Italians try to figure out what to do with baked beans.

When I'm in Topeka I eat Grovers . . When I'm in NYC I eat Boss Hawgs.

Dinosaur (not bad BBQ) is okay for NYC but it's no Arthur Bryants.

>>>Boss Hogg's in New York City?

Hahahaha . . no way. You can't get real BBQ in NYC. I have a deal with Boss Hawgs . . . they cook it, pack it all in dry ice and send it by Federal Express . . it gets here within hours.

Always entertaining . . . . we have some special Buell guests arriving in America next week and will likely be having BBQ from Topeka,

I need to get the North Star to ship Porterhouse steaks now.

I figured that was how you were doing it. I didn't know they would ship their food.

Actually we have found a place here in Vacaville that is right up there with Hoggs but different.

I guess if I really need a Hogg fix it would be cheaper to have them ship some out instead of going to Topeka.

Hahahaha . . I've never met a BBQ I didn't like.

Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City is still pretty much the gold standard but Mel's, down on old Main Street in Dallas is right up there as well.

Don't rule it out Mike . . . there are some interesting Buell things coming up and a secret basement gathering may be in the wind.

Hahaha . . . you're memory is better than my aging brain but If I met the owner of a BBQ . . I'll be I liked him/her!

I rode to the Twin Cities one day for Mexican food with Annie Warren, a Yamaha rider, and it was wonderful.

There was, about 15 years ago, a fun picture of me laying on the sidewalk asleep in my Aerostich after riding from Jackson, WY to the Mall of America.

There is also a good Mexican restaurant in Topeka. I think it is called El Charro.

If ever needing to eat at the Dallas airport try Cousin'S BBQ, excellent.

Topeka . . owing to the days the Santa Fe shops were hopping in Oakland . . . has some great Mexican restaurants.

La Siesta was always my favorite going back to the early 60's. I'll have to look up this El Charro.

The guys at El Charro named a salad after my sister-in-law. Her and her husband go there a lot.

Good thing they DIDN'T elect me Mayor, eh? . . I'd have required no chain restaurants (Wanamaker would still be Phil Schielder's pasture like it was before the mall opened on March 2, 1988) and Mexican food restaurants would get a special dispensation.

I was born and raised in Texas and now live in in NC. Carolina BBQ is pretty good, but it's just not Texas BBQ. Luckily the Salk Lick out of Austin will ship World Wide. I order at least twice a year, more if I don't get home for a visit. Joe Bob says next time your in Austin check out the Salt Lick! They even have a location in the airport.

Stateline in El Paso, three thumbs up, will ship. I like it and the Salt Lick, worth the drive from Austin and bring a cooler with your own beer. And that other place in NW Austin on the water suits my tooth. But my favorite BBQ sauce is Cowboy Karl's Knuckle Suckin' Barbecue Sauce. For special occasions, Cowboy Karl's Knuckle Suckin' Texas Blackjack Barbecue Sauce. Organic, & "High Falutin' and No Gluten," for the snooties. Sorry, secret recipes.

Now, as you sift the collection in NYC, and SHOULD you just happen to run across the Westech lowering block, consider if you'd like to see it go on a LSR bike . . . . I'm very interested.

Man . . and CRUD it is . . . . I opened 4 boxes yesterday and all were plum chucked full of Buell CRUD !

I swear this stuff is regenerating faster than I can dispense with it. Sold some on e-Bay last week but didn't make a dent . . . very slow process.

I'm not selling this stuff . . I'm holding on to some unique "one offs" to keep in the collection but I'm selling some of the stuff I have many duplicates of.

Tom . . you'd get a kick out of this . . . the recent storm took out all the lights on the back of the house. So I go down and pick up another 500w Quartz fixture and 3 of the dual-head flood fixtures with the motion detectors.

I go to put lamps in the floods and see that my supply of bulbs is depleted.

I went to the local hardware store trying to keep the business in the neighborhood and the kid tries to sell me some "35w. . but seem like 42w energy efficient tree hugger flood lights"

I tell him "I want the 150 watt ones" and he launches into a rant about energy conservation.

I told him . . . ."If these lights go on in the middle of the night and I'm trying to draw a bead on a bad guy I damn sure want to be able to see what I am aiming at"

Seeing that he's loosing the argument he starts to tell me . . . "but these have an expected life of 30,000 hours". to which I reply . . . ."look at me kid, do I look like a guy who is going to even be around to tell if they last that long".

I took the high power 150 watt maxi-meter spinning version and left.

Lol, I had a similiar conversation, but I was approached at a box retailer while picking up a bulb for a lamp I was using to clean up a Luger and Walther that my Dad picked up in WWII. The guy says I should really use a flourescent to be eco friendly, and I said I prefer the light from a good old incandescent. He gave me a small lecture and walked away upset when I told him I was using it to clean up my Dad's WWII guns to shoot any bad guys or eco nuts coming in the house. I was somewhat kidding, but the reaction was well worth it.

Definitely not showing well for HD in the press. Maybe with all of the bad publicity toward HD, Buell getting pretty reviews, Racing comes in with some wins, and Can Am can purchase the brand, who knows? REX

Great stuff Court! What I find to be really cool about all the stuff you have, is that no matter how small or insignificant something you have may seem to people outside the world of Buell, it was all make or break stuff to the company! Please continue to share, And I may have some room here to store "CRUD" if need be.
