Always have.

One of the first Buell shops I visited in Wyoming, in 1995, was Buell and Ducati.

Store about a hundred miles from me is a HUGE Honda and Harley dealer.

Nothing new . .

An important fact that has been strangely absent from the ATK/Hyosung press releases is that one of the two major shareholders in ATK is Malcolm Zanca. Zanca owns several Harley-Davidson dealerships and is a very powerful (and nice) guy in Harley World. Additionally, several other Harley dealers have a piece of the ATK pie. This being the case, the probability of ATK motorcycles appearing in selected Harley dealerships gets inched up a notch.

Is it possible that this move would be helped greatly by getting Buell out of the way? Close one door so that another door looks so much better than it would normally when it opens?

WTF -- They can come up with a plan like that for Hyosung, but not Buell.

It gets curiouser and cuerioser.

that's why All there clothing and ect says made in china on it.

But they thrive its all American made.

the harley has over 50% foreign parts
shocks/forks/brakes/electronics/lights and ect are all not made here. some is not much.

they are going china cause i'm sure if you look at it to sell the bikes they get more discounts on goods.

quick profit short term goal long term crash!!!!

look at the tags speeks for itself!!

It's all foreign content....but then again I'm Canadian : )

I received a letter the other day from Deeley Harley Davidson Canada (the Canadian distributors of HD and Buell) telling me about the closing of Buell and what it means to me as a Buell owner. I'll quote the interesting part:

The Question now is: what does this development mean to you, the Buell owner?

First of all, let us make one thing clear. We are not abandoning you. You have chosen to ride a truly great motorcycle and we will always be there to support you with parts and service. The Canadian distributor and Retail network remain committed to the Buell brand. Buell retailers will gradually transition from focusing on sales to becoming authorized service providers exclusively, and their service staff will continue to be trained and held to the highest standards.

It also goes on to state there has never been a better time to purchase a new Buell. I guess they still have a few at the dealers up here.

I think I'll keep this letter in a safe place in case parts get scarce in the future.......One never knows ; )
