Author Message   Court Posted on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 - 11:34 pm:        I hadn't taken the Ulysses out in a while . . . . it was a slow day and, on the day before Fall arrives . . . a perfect riding day. I was going to set out to meet a couple Badwebbers for chili and when I went to leave realized I'd forgotten to put the battery tender on the Ulysses as it sat for the last 3 weeks. Sure enough . . . I got the signature "clack, clack, clack" and looked to find a big pool of electrons all over the ground below. I slapped the battery tender on . . . . went inside . . . read for a bit . . .took a 2 hour nap (wait till you get to be my age . . you'll understand) and didn't get out till well into the afternoon. I only got in about 180 miles but man it was gorgeous. I, due to lack of time, did something uncharacteristic and headed toward Long Island . . . . I'll toss some more up when I get time . . . I didn't REALLY intend to go . . . but I had a good time. How far are you from Oyster Bay? I think some of us should meet for lunch in Long Island someday . . . . it was a short, but fun, unexpected ride. Back in Manhattan today . . . Dutchess County tomorrow. Dig this . . . look closely . . it's a FAKE building. We've been trying to "hide" our power stations. We had this precast done by a firm in Pennsylvania. It looks like different buildings. Panels are fake as are all the windows. We're doing one now on the Harlem River that will have stainless and tile sailboats on the face that faces the Harlem River.
