I recently installed a California canister on my 1125r to get rid of the annoying puddle of gas every time I park and the gas smell. I installed it with the 2 hoses that the parts diagram showed. The problem is that the fuel tank builds a lot of pressure when it gets warm. No pressure now that the canister is unhooked. The question I have is, should the canister flow freely from one hose to the other (fuel vent to the throttle body fittings)? If you cannot answer this, do you know of anyone that may know what I am missing? My dealer called tech services and they had no idea how it worked. Any help would be appreciated.

quote:

A charcoal canister is used to trap the fuel vapors. The fuel vapors adhere to the charcoal, until the engine is started, and engine vacuum can be used to draw the vapors into the engine, so that they can be burned along with the fuel/air mixture.
