OK, you've redeemed yourself. I left my NYC "attorney" a voice message on his cell, cancelling the hit, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

If I were you, I'd lay low for a day or so...

What a great day . . . in a truck, but still a GREAT day. I had a meeting and a couple extra hours to get there. I am ALWAYS on the hunt for new Uly-Roads!

Just a different view than you may be used to seeing of the Brooklyn Bridge

Cool bike . . great "city" look.

I'd not dare forget Road Thing . .

Is this the perfect argument for a SMART car or what?

Relaxing . . .

Just liked this photo. . .

ditto this one . .

Try calling a stone mason and "ordering" this.

.
.
.
.

And finally . . I took the back road to the meeting. Tramp and some of the neighbors will recognize these

Excellent thread Court! It's interesting to hear about your adventures in the earlier days of Buell. Terrific photos too (and I concur with 'Thing about the "boots"). I would love to get to ride some New England roads sometime. I remember some great ones around Bennington VT from a childhood trip once.

You take the most beautiful, inspiring, thought provoking pictures Court. We have a new camera on our Christmas wish list to buy ourselves this year. Such colour and vibrancy in life.

Okay . . I buried in school and work for a week or two but snapped some photos driving to school this afternoon . . Kansas was great. . . so was PA, OH, IN, IL, MO, KY, WV, VA, MD and NJ but it's nice to be back in Neeeeeeew York City

Figured I'd share a sampling of the days photos. . . just missed the lighting of the Rockerfeller Center tree last night and the Columbia Campus Walk tonight but here are some fun ones from my wandering . . .

The building under construction is my Masters Thesis project, that's the famed New York Times "Ladder" across the street.

Don't ask me why I take pics of the things I do . . . Yes, RT your "girl in boots" is in here somewhere and I just missed a couple dandies . . .

Awesome picture, the Uly and a bike that wants to be a Uly : )

Looks like a 06, probably a badwebber as they switched to the syncs, cee bailey windscreen, PIAA 1100x lights on a GME light bar, 08 air deflectors, accessory low seat and Buell tank bag. I don't recognize it unfortunately : (

Try calling a stone mason and "ordering" this.
Need a mason? After spending 9 years in the masonry field in commercial, residential, and refractory, I look at buildings like that and druell! I worked on one church in my life, and it was the most fulfilling of them all. The architecture is unbelievable. Makes you feel accomplished. Hey wait, that church helped me get my Buell! Worth every minute of work!!! Hey look...its my foreman!!

Hey Court,

What kind of setup are you using for your action shots while riding the Uly?

It was just a simple drive from the office to school and then home . . . but New York City is a fascinating town . . .

Any of you remember "George Harrison is one of us" in from the Moonies in the airports? I quickly adopted a Raoul Duke defense realizing that I had to make them truly believe I was dangerously over the edge and should not be approached.

Nice, eh?

I just really dug this glass brick wall in Red Hook . .

The neighbors across the street do a really neat job . .

This made me immediately think of Buell Motorcycles . .

QUESTION: If I get a $70 ticket for talking on a cellphone in a car . . . isn't there something wrong here?
: )

Uhhhh . .. Thanks , but NO THANKS!

This is my project for my Master's Thesis I am working on . . . nasty construction accident yesterday made the news. That's the much famed "ladder" (The New York Times) building across the street.

Not bad . . . this is my "reconditioned" Nikon VR zoom lens . . . a little different view than you generally see of a tower crane.

This picture never gets old . . . taking it or looking at it.

I didn't like the neighbors Christmas lights so I just spun the camera . .

There's nothing quite like a "Dirty Water Dog". . . I'm feeling one of those late night coffee and pasty rides on the horizons . . . New York City is fun in the middle of the night when most the restaurants have closed and you only have 8,000 left to choose from . . . . Stephen and I used to make a science of romping about on KLR's and DR's and hitting the best (he works night shifts a week every seven and knows all the great places) coffee and homemade cheesecake places. . . I can't imagine a better bike than the Ulysses for this purpose!

The KLR-250 would be a GLORIOUS Gotham nightfighter!

If your plans ever wander you into Manhattan. . fear not . . I have a DR-Z400 I think would get you through the night!

NICE!! Great thread Court. The pics are sweet, but I have to ask. How do you remember to stop to take 'em? I usually have a camera with me but seldom remember to take it out...........not wanting to stop is the problem.(if you can call that a problem)

BTW, this time of year is when I actually get jealous of you "downstaters" still able to ride. There are a few days when the roads are clear that I'd like to take the Uly for a spin...........if I could just get it back up the ice caked hill I call a driveway.

Keep up the good work.

Court, I love coming back to this post and being overcome with that 'I miss the USA feeling'. I try to do the same thing (although with a simple Cannon DSLR) when I travel while I'm stationed overseas.

Did you happen to notice the picture you posted on December 4th of the women with the grey coat and brown boots.... the face in the window at the Stage Door Delicatessen..... is that Jennifer Lopez? Seriously.......

I'll try to get of shot for your collection....

Yipsy doodle day . . . .just walked outside and it's balmy. Bags just leapt onto bike . . . . GPS followed them . . . . my aging butt is a road show and I could care less which way I go other than I will be looking for food around noon. If you are North or West (both great candidate directions from New York City) drop me a PM if you have lunch suggestions . . . this Ulysses if frickin' additive!

This Uly just REFUSES to stay home . . . . I couldn't decide if I should go West or North . . . so I went East to the monthly exotic car gathering at Captree State Park.

I kinda got side tracked and arrived hours after it was over. . . by the time I arrived visibility was zero or less and my visor was completely fogged from laughing so hard in my helmet. Having the added lighting was reassuring to at least know someone could see me in the ocean fog that rolled in.

Anyway . . . not a clue where I was but I rolled a couple hundred very happy miles and the Ulysses just gets more addictive . . . I wasn't letting the one nice day between Christmas and New Year's spoil a REAL holiday . . . which I'd loosely describe as a day of destination free wandering . . . . .

Anyway . . . . I'll bore you with some more pics!

: )

I'm struggling to get a photo of a restaurant I want to go back to later and I keep getting the car in front of me in the photo. Then I look at the car . . . holy cow . . . sweet 2002!

Ahhhhhhh . . . fond memories of the photo that got me in so much trouble on New Year's Day . . . months BEFORE the Ulysses was released. . . Opps!

Court, I'm beginning to think that you like that Uly! Some how or another, the Uly looks like it was made for the urban warfare that you put it through as well as the fire roads others subject it too. It just seems to "fit" in NYC. Thanks for the thread and pics; reminds me that I need to do something like this here in Northern Italy.
