G'day Court

Things in the Australian Buell community are looking up and the future more bright.
Been A while since I have chatted with you and I have need of your knowlege in regards to battle trax.
How is a course set out, length, curve radias etc.
I would appreciate any information as we are considering having events down under to test the skills.
If you do not have this information can you pass me onto someone who does.

Thanks Court

Battletrax is actually a registered trademark and the person you want to talk to is BadWebber Reg Kittrelle.

Battletrax is actually a registered trademark and the person you want to talk to is BadWebber Reg Kittrelle.

Reg spent a lot of time and money developing the BattleTraxR events.

There is much more to the event than meets the eye. To the untrained eye it appears to be simply a bunch of cones and kids converging in a parking lot.

There is a well developed body of knowledge about the sequence and radius of curves are laid out.

There is a fine balance to prevent too much speed and to keep from consuming unwittingly riders.

Reg pops in here from time to time and I'd encourage you to run him down. If you have any problem finding him drop me a note.

By the way, Australia plays an important role in Buell history and some of the most memorable (I still love my "Take One For a Test Prowl" poster and shirts from the S1 White Lightning intro. . . .

Keep us posted , it sounds like a ball.

Battletrax is what introduced me to Buell all those years ago in Danbury. I have a shelf of trophies won in Danbury and Daytona Beach. I sure miss that event! Damned insurance industry!! Suck all the FUN out of life...

Ditto. I understand why it is so hard to do one, but I sure miss them.

Bring back the Battletrax!

MadGaz - I'd be very interested in seeing Battletrax here in Oz, or Inside Pass type events. Or preferably both!

Didn't they run Battletrax here around the time the XB9R came out?

Lemmonchilli

I was very involved in Australia at the time the 9 was released and was not aware of Battletrax events being conducted.

I thought I read, and I may be remembering incorrectly, a review of the release of the XB9R in Australia where they got the journo's to do something like Battletrax. I assumed from what I read that they had done some sort of Battletrax events here.

I don't have the magazine anymore, so my memory of the article is probably way off.

Found the article online - http://www.bikepoint.com.au/portal/tabID__5760/Art icleID__118412/DesktopDefault.aspx

"My chance for Firebolt sampling came on Queensland's Gold Coast, and a thorough sampling it was too. There was a full 'trackday' at the Holden Driver Training Centre at Norwell, followed by a half-day of BattleTrax in the Seaworld carpark..."
