I had one back when I was a kid.
Wish I still had it now.

I still have the 1952 sitting here in my office. It looks like it did the day it left the dealer showroom.

I used to start and ride it quite a bit but haven't in a long time . . . . may have to soon.

Every time I think of getting rid of it I think back to all the folks who wish they still owned the first bike they ever rode 47 years ago. I sold my first Gibson Melody Maker and Skylark amplifier . . . I won't make this mistake with the Cushman.

Thanks for sharing . . . . I've never owned and Eagle but what an American Classic it was. I got to meet the famous Jim Lynne before he passed away and during the 50+ years he was with Cushman in Omaha he became a scooter legend.

Wow - a cushman eagle. That was my very first dirt bike. I bought it for $35 or $40 from my neighbor when I was about 10 or 11 and worked it off by mowing, edging and trimming his lawn at $3.50 a pop. Seemed like an eternity to work it off, but man did I have a lot of fun. Picture a 10 year old boy in the Las Vegas desert riding/racing/hill climbing with his friend who rode a little Honda 50. Dirt hill climbing with a foot clutch and stick shift is something every cycle enthusiast should experience. What a reliable workhorse it was. Even when I dumped it (which was often) I could usually get it cranked back up. My dad still had one up until about 10 years ago. He used to ride it to work. I think he sold it for around $1500.
