Hello for all of you. I have an account on advrider.com which I used to ask if someone knows a route to the ears of Buell and I was directed here. Here you have what I posted there:
I registered myself yesterday on the Buell US website. I had to do so, no other country had this option. Furthermore, if I clicked on 'other countries' the main page was in Spanish. The world is than made of the countries listed plus Latin America? Are we living in the same world with you, dear Americans?
I think would be wise to have an international website for 'other countries' in English language, replicating that from US. Buell could than learn about bikes spread in countries without official presence.

Welcome to the forum!
Yes Buell could make some improvements to the web site. Contact them and explain and perhaps someone will take the time to do it.
How is that XB12X doing on those semi-devoloped roads? Do you think first gear is too fast for the really bad places?
Good luck riding there. I see where Romania has the worst drivers in the world according to accidents and death rates!

If you choose Canada you can have english and french! You also don't get any of the owner benefits that are only on the American Buell site

@Mark61: Yes, the first is too fast, I feel this mostly in crowded traffic, speed has to be much lower there than anywhere else. Romania's streets are too crowded because the number of cars is 10x more than when the roads were designed. Building highways is a late reaction of what we have out there, not as result of planning in advance. Here you have some pictures with my bikes: www.flickr.com/photos/tichi
Bikers die almost everyday here but this happens mainly because the bike is used more as a show off device than for personal fun or as a utility vehicle.

The X has some things that could be improved, like headlamps, oil cooling, the horn button which I touch too often accidentally, minimum turn radius - improved on later X models, mine is 2006-, the digital display too minimal with only one info at a time. But I knew what to expect when I bought it and is still my favorite among what you see in my pictures.

Thank you both for answering to my post.

Tik-

Wonderful pictures. That snow canyon and theTransfagarasan road look way fun. So does that private pool! Great bikes wish we got a few of those like the Yamaha Bulldog. Good times- ride safe.

Tik, glad you are enjoying the X. Several of the issues you talked about were resolved in later years of the bike. The headlights are a easy fix, they tend to be aimed too low from the factory, just undo the screws and adjust as needed. If that still isn't good enough it isn't hard to put more lights on it. : )

Tik - welcome to BadWeB. There is quarterly publication, Fuell, that registered US Buell owners receive via hard copy. If you are interested in receiving it via e-mail, I can add you to my Fuell e-mail listing.

Just drop me a PM with your name and e-mail address you would like it sent to.

Cool pictures. The pics with the Snow Canyon are awesome.

Maybe we could get some Buell representation in Mexico, especially with all those off pavement rural primitive roads to be explored. It would be nice to have a dealership to pull into and pick up the parts you preordered ; )
