Author Message   Essmjay Posted on Thursday, July 24, 2008 - 05:25 pm:        Court- I just priced out the s2-s3 saddlebag conversion bracket @ my closest Buell dealer, and they quoted me $420. Can that be right? This just the bracket, not the whole kit. I can't believe it is that much for just the bracket. Part # is L1025.8 That is more than I paid for the bags. I really hope that it is the wrong part number and what your need is cheaper.   Court Posted on Friday, July 25, 2008 - 05:56 pm:        I'd have to go back and look (I think the entire documentation is here in the knowledge vault) but I **think** it's more than "just" a bracket, it's the entire conversion kit to put the newer S3 style bags on the S2. I do recall that it is kind of pricey however. I suspect this is due to being an accessory they developed with the intent of selling 50 or less. The whole kit comes with bags as well as all the parts, and someone said it is about $1800 for the whole kit. I have good hard cases and covers, and I can source all the little bits, but the bracket would make the whole job so much easier.
