Travel arrangements: I'd like to bum a ride with someone from Salt Lake City to Bonneville (and back). I'll be arriving on 9/17 or 9/18 just after 10 am. I'm flying out of SLC on either 9/21 or 9/22 in the afternoon. Anyone passing through on any of those days??

Got the email Court. Got a bunch of questions. Be my first time at Bonneville, I'll be running a Gix 1K in the 1000CC P-P class.
1. Should I bring a chase trailer?
2. Where can I get SaltAway?
3. Will we leave the trailers at the pits or take everything back to the hotel each night?
4. Can I just tape the tailsection with white gaffers tape and then felt mark my numbers, or do I need regulation size number plates?
5. Will team Elves have an organizational meeting the night before the event?
6. How big should I build my trophy shelf?

Paul,try www.salt-away.com ,if you talk to Lenore,tell her Team Elves sent you as they were one of our sponsors last year.
Yes to chase trailer,we leave everything on the salt.Never a problem,safer than hotel parking lot.And I think Aaron taped tail section one year,could be wrong,but I have seen other bikes do it. |

The ELFWEAR has shipped. At least all we had. The first shipment of 2003 shirts was split between Wisconsin and New York.
Shirts not sold in Wisconsin are currently on the way to NYC. If your order had 2003 AND other stuff, it'll ship the moment the balance of the 2003 shirts arrive.
Shirts are nearly sold out. I will check your specific order to make sure all is well. I've not seene anyone post that they received stuff yet, however.

I was finally able to confirm my attendance on the salt for this month. I am actually on the sportster.org team and working in that pit but since I now own a Buell I ordered up a room in the Team Elves block and would like to meet you guys and party a little. My wife and I are riding down on our bikes on the 16th and 17th and will be there till Sunday. What is the Elf Chow thing? Is that for a dinner I can participate in or something else? And is there advance anything for the party saturday night?

Shane,where are you riding from?And ya know we don't associate with those Sporster Org reprobates.We are respectable Buell riders.Chuckle ,chuckle.And ,of course,we don't party---much.Everyone is more than welcome.The Elf chow badge gets you food from our internationally acclaimed pit chef on a daily basis. |

Jim- we are riding down from Tumwater, my wife is riding too so we are taking it with an overnight stop. It is about 960 miles from our house. Can we get in on the Elf Chow by purchasing a badge or a shirt or something?

Oh nevermind- I found the info. Will you guys mind if I join both teams? I have often been accused of having a split personality..... but I am commited to helping Dale run his bike. I have been down on the flats a couple of times already helping them out and I do the timing covers with the team logo.

No problem and your registration came in the mail. The "Elf Chow" badges are $35.00 each and get ya food throughout the event.
We can handle that at Bonneville.

It's official, I'm gonna be there!!!
If anyone is interested I have a hotel room to split.
I have it reserved starting on the 17th.
Court, don't know if you saw my note sent with the Elves registration form but I am available for any tasks that need doing.
I too need to pay for patches (4) and a XXL 2003 T.
I just need one patch right away to sew on my last years jersey before I head to Wendover. I can pick the rest up in Bonneville.
I can paypal for it all now if you wish.
Also need to settle up for the Elf Chow badge.
