Anywat evert thing seemed ok, till I noticed my belt frayed about half a mile later, had a right side drop doing about 5 mph my front brake seemed to lock up up did an Endo and fell , my brake shift was bent and finger hurt that was about it, had huge axle spools on reareand so no damage there or so I thought though belt is being chewed up to the left of the front gear thing, it's under warranty, do I tell them I fell? Going to The Harley Dealership in the afternoon 9/11/07 guidance appreciated....

do I tell them I fell?

Yes. It will be obvious from the damage. Warranty doesn't cover damage due to accidents, so be prepared for the bad news.

Be honest with them, you never know they might just write it off as warranty anyway. : )

I believe that is for Buell *workers*, not customers

Obviously, I'm just kidding. I totally agree though, it's much better to tell the truth and hope for the best.

If they need a sign that tells them not to eat yellow snow... I may not buy a bike from them...

Back to the drawing board, purchased a new belt, idler pulley and it's still running to the left, spoke with Al gave me a web site for the suspension company in Corona Ca. Are these my only options ?

Be sure to check the swingarm mount on the rear of the motor casing and see if there is anything wrong there.

If there isn't a problem there then it could be a bent swingarm. That is the only thing left that can cause a mis-alignement
If you already replaced the belt idler.

thanks for your input after all it was the pivot bolt that was the problem, thank God I'm finally ridn my Buell again, While it was being diagnosed I had the my exhaust pipe cerma chromed and the muffler chromed as well, the guy seemed to know what he was doing so he cut my muffler and did some things , it sounded great seemed to take a little while to move quickly in first but overall I was pleased, So know what do I do know ? how do I insure it's fuel mixture is right ? Do I need a race ecm as Dana suggested steering me away from TFI I noticed in the classifed for 160.00. I not so much much a speed freak I just want things to work to their upmost.

I'm glad you were able to get the rear suspension sorted out.

Looking at your profile I see that you have a K&N filter as well as the modified exhaust.

Some people on the board have run similar set-ups with the stock ECM for many miles.

However many (myself included) believe that this will cause an excessively lean condition
in your motor and the potential for serious damage is definitely there. I would also recommend
that you get a "race" ECM for your bike. It should show you a performance increase while
helping to avoid all the problems associated with running lean.

If there is ANY doubt, do a couple dyno pulls and check exhaust gas to make sure you are not lean at any rpm band. It'll be $50 well spent.

Got the race ecm, had suspension done forks redone shock redone and now having battery problems purchased a new one seems to be fine. Where will I go to get dyno work done ? In the high desert? Also heard about some kind if ignition retard for more horsepower. You guys know anything ?

The ignition retard thing is only if you run nitrous oxide I believe. Retard the ignition on your near stock Buell engine will cost you horsepower
