I have to tell you . . . Dave Gess and I have taken on the project of projects compiling years of information about Buells. I'm finding things I never dreamed I would and facts I never knew. My problem is that I am the consummate pack rat (yeah, I have a case, sent from my mother, of all my crayon scribbling in pre-school and I have all my college text books) who had accumulated 4 of the large plastic storage containers of pictures and cases of documents. . . everything from confidential product files, hand written notes from Erik and cases of customer service files. The most daunting of these tasks was what to do with the magazines. Well. . . guess who stepped up? Ms. Hedge Fund herself is going through every page of 5 LARGE legal size file cases and tagging everything "Buell" and color coding it by year. Now . . how to condense this into something that's interesting, engaging and will allow Mr. Buell to stay free of the state penitentiary long enough to get us next year’s models!   | ||

Court - I feel the same way about my wife. Even though her '02 XL1200C is 2 years in her posession and she's ridden the sum total of 4 times...she's fine with me getting a 4th bike (and 3rd Buell) when the 1125 comes out. Her theory is, if I have bikes and cars to play with, at least she knows where I am - the garage! If yours needs any help with the task, let me know. My mother-in-law is a pack rat of epic proportions. I'm not even allowed in her house (seriously, haven't seen the inside yet). She knows where everything is (even the *two* original "if Kennedy drove a Beetle..." ads from National Lampoon magazine)...it's just that everything is, well, everywhere. Court, there are so many of us that would love to get our grubby little paws on the stuff you have stored in those bins. Just from the few pics I've seen there is an absolute wealth of information. Anything that you don't want or need you could send my way (heh heh)  |
