Glad to see you again! Your name popped up on the Adventure Rider list. I wondered if you'd been done in by a jealous husband or another lawyer. Came real close to pulling the trigger on a Uly until I dealt with the two "local" dealers. Both and hour's ride away. Neither real interested in the sale. American Eagle was conveniently "out of" the dispatch bags both times I rode out there for a test ride. I've already got one bike (the R1150RS) with no dealer support. Just couldn't face paying full list for another one. It'll happen someday though. Say, are you sill the Feature Editor at Battle 2Win?  | ||

Reg stopped publishing Battle 2Win a number of years ago. He was light years ahead of his time and the magazine reflected his personal excellence. I rank the loss of B2W right up there with the demise of the Honda Cub 50. The R1150GS is a great bike. BMW provided me one when the 1100 evolved to the 1150 and frankly I was astounded at how capable it was. It's pretty much a stratum or two up the price charts. The Ulysess, as time passes, are proving their meddle and headed toward GS status. They Uly has a powerful tractor beam . . heck, folks are swapping Gold Wings for them for comfort, they call to gadget mounters like myself and now folks are doing mega-days on them with unimpeded grins . . . I couldn't ask for me. I've never ridden a Ulysses and for a damn good reason. Buells done and is doing some amazing things since we last spoke, having just (last 11-17-06 @ 11:20AM) produced their 100,000th bike, which fittingly enough was a Ulysses. I am presently involved in a couple Buell things that will spin the heads of the collective GS crew . . .stay tuned and welcome. . . good to hear from you. Court | ||

It is just an indication that I don't want to be in a position where I have to rely on that dealership. OBTW, I lost the e-mail Erik sent me years back and his comments about you. Still got tons of respect for that man, even if he does have a high opinion of you... ;^) | ||
