Mornin Court...
I just got off the phone with John Solinski at Buell...He was rather RUDE and denied to really discuss my concern..
My 1996 S2T had the showa recall shock done on it and of course it is now leaking..
In reference to Don Castos articles, I asked about the SRP Band aid fix ,which for one was never done to my early junk Showa shock and about the replacement K1400.8 shock...Being over 1 year since the actual recall on the WP shock, I asked if mine quailifys for the Goodwill program...$100 fee....He stated he knew nothing about this and all my Info{ Dons article} was "Incorrect Information"...
My dealer here has tried to contact them about this , left 4 messages , and they wont even return his call...
He is fruststrated , as Being a dealer and they won't even respond...
Do I get the general idear that nothing has changed @ Buell since I last dealt with them 10yrs ago, and YOU were the only person that actually adressed my concerns and took care of it?
If I dont get NO more response from them or Deeley Hd of Canada, Im going to contact D.O.T. Canada and tell them my situation before my shock completely dies and sticks my 170 Dunlop straight up my ASS.....
Any Comments on this appreciated guys...
Maybe we all need to group and go after Buell on this issue...How many of ya got a problem with thier Recalled Showa?

Thx man...Hankb.....

Well at the time 1998 I think, I traded in my S-1 for a Suzuki TL1000S and walked away from Buell. Because of the same horrible service I got from the dealer and the factory. To many problems even after all the recalls and bullshit. Even tried to get Buell to buy the bike back because of all the problems. Buell didnt want to touch it and the Buell/H-D dealer didnt even want me to trade it in on a X-1 at the time. Great customer service..nothing has changed todate..

So I would suggest try and trade it in on something else or leave the keys in it and walk away...

Try another brand..

Great customer service..nothing has changed todate..

In May, 1999 my front isolator broke on my way home from Illinois. I called the head of customer service at that time to see what could be done and to express my disappointment that I wouldn't be able to make it to Homecoming the following week.
I was told, "You'll be at Homecoming if I have to come out to Massachusetts and bring you back, myself."
21 hours later, I was riding my repaired S3-T home from Connecticut.
You'll NEVER convince me that Buell's Customer Service sucks.
You should try the uber reliable BMWs Customer Service
