hey mr. court..... seems like ur the easiest way to get something to the powers that be so here ya go.... in 2005 i bought my first new motorcycle in a very long time, i bought a 05' firebolt from downtown harley in tukwilla washington...the experience for me was frustrating from the word go i wont go into details but it sucked....it was so bad i tried to sell my bike...really it was that bad....well when somebody showed up with 6000$ cash i just couldnt part with the bolt..somehow it had become part of me....so now the real quandry began..where do i go for my 1000 ml service...can i really stand another harley dealership...well after many phone calls and a little word of mouth i tried legend harley in silverdale washington...well the service there was outstanding and renewed my faith in owning a harley bastard child...i was treated well ..not at all like i owned something they didnt want to work on...i have worked in the auto industry for most of my life and understand very well what customer service means...ive driven for over 300 miles personaly to put seam sealer in someones trunk on my own time....well i now i have taken my firebolt to legend again for its 5000 ml service and i decided to have my wheels powder coated while it was up on the rack....not the ideal situation for a dealer...with no questions asked they said sure why not...one of their employees (brian mckenzie) on his personal time took my wheels one at a time to the powder coater and has kept me informed alonst daily on how my bike is doing...i cant say thank you enough to the service dept at legend harley and to brian personaly ..he has taken the buell brand and put it into the forefront of their dealership...which is not the case for many...brian and legend are passionate about the buell brand and service...i have never written a letter like this before but i think the factory should know about this....really it just blows me away ..the extra miles they have all gone to help me and my bolt...please mr court make sure that everybody that should hears about this..thanx for your time.

>>>i think the factory should know about this....

They shall. This type of stuff is great to find on the bulletin board on Monday morning!

I've had some dealings with Brian (who shared by early on affinity for the TT when the rest of the world was hellbent on screaming about the number plates. : ) ) and it's always thrilling to hear about these kind of experiences.

The next time you see him give him a big ol' guy hug!

Nah. . . better not!

Good on both of you and enjoy the heck outta that Buell.

If you'd have sold it . . . well, I would have had come come kick your ass!

: )

Thats funny! I just want to say that I have had some dealings with Downtown Harley (purchased my wifes bike there) and have talked with the lead Buell tech there with very positive results every time. He even helped me figure out how to fix my speedo without having to bring it in. He took me back in the shop to one that was torn down so I could see where everything is and all that, real nice guys. Also, they do some semi-custom bikes and a few extreme customs. Once in a while, they do a semi-custom Buell. I would say, if you don't like your dealer, do what you did, go to a different one. As for me, I can't stand the dealer in Olympia, but get great service at Downtown and Destination. Some people, it's the other way around. At least you kept the bike!

ya from lots of people here ive heard good things about downtown...from the perspective of someone that has delt with people and their vehicles for a very long time...i wasnt impressed...i did appreciate the fact that they came and got my bike when the ignition switch got jacked...but there were so many things that outweighed that that were wrong...anywhoo one mans problem with a dealer that has a decent rep isnt a big deal...i just wanted to point out that it was so bad for me that i really wanted to get rid of my bike and just go for a gixxer 1000....honestly...other bike dealers are just as bad or worse that harley dealers...but...the extra miles that legend has gone and brian personaly....well i find that to be the exception and not the rule...not much impresses me....they did....and all of the people here...for all their bickering and such...a great bunch of people when push comes to shove...unless of course u want to talk horsepower vs torque : D...thanx court im glad that whom ever needs to hear about brian and legend will...they deserve some recognition for being above the norm .....

Thanks for the plug guys. I think that excitement and enthusiasm for the bike that does everything that you ask it to, and a few things that you weren't expecting is contagious. Some get, some don't, I here to fully support and grow the number of people that do. Pushing the Cityx to its limits every chance I get. The bikes are great, but it the the gang that ride em that make it the best place to be.

thanx X i too have seen and personaly been a part of someone here doing something for no better reason than it was the right thing to do...you can all blame cityxslicker for this...he took my wheels one at a time to the powder coater and when i asked him how i could pay him back he said "random act of buellness pay it foward"so when riderx said he needed gear and i already found pegs..well the rest is what u see here...ive seen so many nice things transpire here and the mere thought of anybody riding without proper protection..well here ya go.

Cityxslicker = Legend. His random act of Buellness will live through Pay It Forward here on BadWeb. Amazing how a small gesture can turn into something big!

I actually got the idea from BudC when I was back in town to visit the Harley HDU and rent a Buell to see the E-Troy Factory. The weather was snowed out. Bud got me to the factory, an escorted factory tour to see the bikes in process, some sit down time with Erik to chat bikes, and the opportunity to get my Dash Face plate signed. His over and beyond effort had a huge impact on me, I felt that it was my duty and honor to pass it on the next chance I got. Nothing in return, just the ability to help and hope that it is passed down the line when you can.
