Like any adolescent(sp?), this board has had a major growth spurt in the last couple of years. The parents are trying to let it grow in a sensible manner and not get to unruly. |

I'm with snail on this one, loyalty means a lot, publicly posting the things you have to people who once were friends is just wrong, period !!
If they are no longer friends, so be it, have some respect about it, you don't have to insult, belittle, badger, make public what should be private, and on and on and on and on !!

First, no "members" here. Just participants, and lurkers. We're not a club, just a community of Buell enthusiasts looking to waste some time on the internet talking about fun stuff involving Buell motorcycles and other stuff of common interest.
Second, I agree. Frankly I doubt there is any community anywhere consisting of so many widely varying personalities having such widely varying philosophies and levels of maturity that has ever been able or will ever be able to self-discipline.
If one is unwilling to stand for something, one is likely to fall for anything.

More importantly, they are the truth.
Using honesty/truth as an excuse to be mean is just wrong !! Like I've always told my kids, it's not as much "what" you say but "how" you say it. Anything can be said in a way that still affords the person you are disagreeing with an amount of respect, that's all.
We're all guilty of sometimes forgetting that !!

You're post is dead on, CJxb. And a part of the internet thingy is that communication is so poor even with good grammer, icons, etc.
I learned a while back not to make permanent judgements about people based on what gets tossed around on the web. |
