Dullorb,
Clicked on your link and saw you visit Hal's. Are you in the BRAG group there? Second tuesday of the month, show up before 7pm when they lock the sales doors. Usually 3-15 people show up. Next meeting is March 12th. There's a local ride scheduled for the weekend after I think on Sunday, leaves Hal's parking lot at 10am or there abouts. See Rick at Hals for details.

ps, you can hide your email address (I think) and only reveal it within a link in the body of a message. Most spam-bots have a little trouble farming from them that way. I just figure that when the spam count exceeds the non-spam count it's time to open up a new account and let the old one just fill up with their crapola until it implodes, that way they won't know about the account being dormant for several weeks or months which will indirectly make their email lists less valuable to sell since buyers of their lists will start getting all sorts of bounces and return crapola. I still think someone should market a back-tracker virus-based software package that redirects all mass-mailings right back to their own inbox. If you can't fight nice, then fight on their terms.

Anyway, maybe see you at Hal's.

bye.

Don't you just love it when people draw conclusions from anecdotal or circumstantial evidence?

Dullorb: Every so often, maybe once per year, we get a rash, unfounded, blaming comment like yours. Here's the deal... If you don't post on the board, or if you do post but have your email address hidden (option available via the profile editor), no one other than your trusty admin and moderators have access to your email address. And we would have to look for it via your user profile. Within 10 minutes of your registration we had no idea you even existed as a registered user.

If you want to point the finger of blame at me or the BadWeB moderators, that's your prerogative. Understand however that you then risk a nasty letter from my attorney; the word "libel" comes to mind.

If your theory were correct, why is it that I do not get spam at MY overtly published BadWeB email address?

Let's think about it for one second. You are using Hotmail? D'OH!!! Is it not a given that any free email account is going to generate a TON of spam. Why do you think it's free?! Needless to to say... WHATEVER!

I really resent your unfounded allegation. BadWeB has never, and will never share email addresses or ANY other personal information to spammers or their ilk. WE HATE SPAM!!!

Dullorb,

I've used the same E-mail address at Badweb for over a year and that address is exclusive to BADWEB and SACBORG, and EBAY. I have not recieved one e-mail related to spam at this address.

I'd look somwhere else.

I use three e'mail address' here and all are from hotmail. Only one gets hit by spam. It's also the one I registered with Yahoo when I joined American Sport Bike Night's mailing list. I don't know if it's from there or not, but it sure happened soon after.
You read those Court? I keep finding all the sex ones more interesting.......

Dullorb:

Look to your ISP, first. When I switched to pacbell, I received SPAM to my new email address before I even went to any websites. Much of the spam is addressed specifically to individual users on Pacbell, so pacbell must be selling their information.

My supersecret email address that I used for badweb and sacborg receives no SPAM.

Dullorb: I have a hotmail address. Just creat a folder for the spam. It filters out most of it and dump the folder once a week. problem solved!

Hi! Would it be difficult to add "previous" and "next" links to Knowledge Vault archive pages? They would make it easier to browse through archives in chronological order.

Cheers,
Semi

mornin Blake, would it be possible [or has someone made] a table or list showing the production breakdown of Buells over the years and post it in the Knowledge vault?

ie

year, model, no. produced, options, design changes, etc. maybe leave it open so that the guru's can fill in the details

it seems that every now n then someone always gets curious and wants to know.
