It's funny that you think so, because your "people's champion" actually measures himself against Marc Marquez...

But don't believe me because I say it, just take what Rossi actually said in the press conference...

"...apart from the championship, it is always a great feeling arriving in front of Marquez. Because he is very strong, he is very fast, and if you are able to beat him in the race, then it means you did a great race."

That's Valentino Rossi saying it. Go ahead and watch the press conference, and while you're at it, watch how angry and animated he becomes when Lorenzo calls him out for riding dirty.

Yeah... that's your hero right there.

Hey; you know what's neat? There's going to be a fairly large group of Moto GP enthusiasts watching the race in Valencia at TWoS on November 13 on a large screen TV, and we'll be among the group!

Lorenzo is a whiny little bitch. He should learn from his compatriot, Dani. They're both the same age, but Dani has learned to keep his mouth shut. Last year in Sepang he was the only "Alien" to come out smelling like a rose. This year, same press conference... he just kept quiet.

Now THIS is interesting: This is what Marquez thought of Rossi's pass that got Lorenzo's panties all tied up in knots:

Looked like a clean pass on the inside to me. If anything I would say Rossi has a bitch because Lorenzo bumped him from behind.

It wasn't any harder a pass than the one Pedrosa made on Rossi, and I didn't see Rossi complaining about that. Like I said, Lorenzo is just a whiny little bitch these days.

On a brighter note, there is a rumor going around that Nicky Hayden may substitute for Jack Miller in Aragon!

I think you can forget about Indy. It's sad indeed but to be honest It's a world premier race. Yes it's an awesome track but the city itself is a bit of a shit hole.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is probably the most magnificent Racing facility I've ever been to. It makes all the other tracks look second rate in comparison.

Why is it that Europe has over a dozen races and the Americas (two continents) only get one race? The crowds at Indy were growing with each race. I think the numbers were up to 90,000 for the last Moto GP there. Yet, Dorna dropped them. And for those who prefer a "Real" road course, Laguna Seca was also dropped.

I think it's just that Dorna wants to call their series International by handing out an occasional race to a Foreign land, while keeping it Eurocentric in reality.

Crusty, the Americas (two continents) have one race EACH. North America get COTA, and South America has the race in Argentina.

Also, EVERY year the races were held in COTA and Indianapolis, Indy significantly outdrew COTA with their attendance. I can kinda/sorta understand why Laguna was dropped; the the track is awesome but the facilities could not accommodate the entire MotoGP circus (Moto3/125GP and Moto2/250GP never ran there because of that) and they also couldn't fully accommodate the crowds that typically attend a MotoGP event.

Indy, however, has more than enough resources to handle everything, but a typical MotoGP crowd of 100K+ people still makes the facility look empty.

As for the city of Indianapolis itself? I've been in worse. That was never an issue and I always enjoyed my stays there.

Pedrosa had one of those Kevin Schwantz to the moon high sides. Badly broken collarbone. It hurt just watching it.

Looked like something from the 500cc era.

And besides Dani, it has been a crash fest. Laverty crashed hard. Was carried off on a stretcher. Bradl crashed, and many, many more. And that was just watching a few minutes of highlights.

"Wait'll NEXT year."

We'll be here.

It's going to be very interesting with Vinales on the Yamaha and Lorenzo on the Ducati.

I think Lorenzo is going to get on a lot of podiums. He's not going to win much, but he'll be standing next to the winner quite a bit, I think.

Nicky's back at Repsol for this weekend. Hopefully, he'll do a little better than when he subbed for Miller but even then he managed to score a point.

Well, the 2016 season is over. Hell of a final round. Based on what I saw this season, Marquez should be worried about a certain South African working his way up the ranks. Another UNBELIEVABLE performance from Brad Binder in Moto3.

Iannone is more than a "Maniac," he is superhuman. To put on that kind of a performance with a healing back is inconceivable to us "mere mortals."

And we FINALLY got to see the Lorenzo of old. Tuesday and Wednesday should be VERY interesting to see him on the Ducati for the first time. I'm also curious to see Vinales on the Yamaha for the first time.

KTM didn't have the most auspicious of debuts.
