Is anybody going to THE Mile this Memorial Day weekend? If so, look for me. I'll be sitting in row 1 section NN right on the Finish Line. Does anybody even come to the Dirt Track pages of the forum any more? |

I'll be there. I usually just get my ticket at the gate. Unfortunately they don't have the attendance they used to. Last few times I went I could pick any seat nearly. I remember times when I couldn't get a seat. |

Just a few more days. Can anybody beat Smith on the Mile? |

Probably not until someone makes more HP and it is going to take a new engine to do it. I don't think the XR is just limited by the 2 valve head. I think they are at the physical limit of the lower end to turn more RPM's probably need something with plane bearings and a 1 piece crank. |

Last year, I was talking to one of the V&H guys and he was saying that the Kaw 740 was turning 14,000 RPM. They're working on the Street 750 engine, but they won't put one on the track until they're sure it will be competitive. Davis Fisher has been riding a Street 750 based bike for the Factory, but he hasn't yet been able to put it into the Main. I want to see Smith have his lunch handed to him. After that stunt when he was Black Flagged for leaking oil and refused to pull off the track (thereby endangering his fellow competitors), I lost all respect for him. |

I went by the Harley team but wasn't sure who you were . I'd feel kind of silly going around asking team members if they were Bullettooth...lol. |

I was the kid with tattoos working on fisher's bike. You should have yelled "Buell" and I would have heard you. What did you think? |

I was there. The bike looks really good! I never feel right about distracting a crew member just before a race, so I just watch without getting in the way. I did take a couple of pictures of the bike. It made the Main! That's a big deal; especially considering that it's a new bike and a new to the Expert ranks rider. Now, all they have to do is get more horsepower out of it. Can't get the picture to upload. I'll have to do it when I get to a place that has more bandwidth than McDonald's. |

Since I don't follow racing as much as I'd like to, I don't even know if this is the correct venue but, it will be interesting when Indian finishes their dirt track bike and starts going at it again with HD. Where was this race ? |

Springfield, Illinois. It was a photo finish, and a damned good race. There's another one coming up in less than a month; September 4, to be exact. If you can possibly be there, you should. |
