beIN Sports does still show WSBK but for whatever reason they don't usually list the races very far in advance. It is listed on TVracer.com but as of now, the time is still TBD.

Johnny Rea still crushing!

BEIN doesn't list it until a few days before.

WSBK sucks. Rea needs to start at the back of the field. And Sykes needs to get a bit of restraint. Rea lets Sykes burn up his tires and then checks out. Amazing the two distinct riding styles. Rea looks like he's out for a leisure Sunday afternoon ride and Sykes looks like he's on the edge of control all the time.

I just read that myself. Might be worth tuning in to those two rounds just to watch the Roman Emperor again!

And the Roman Emperor set the fastest time in FP1. Yep, this weekend will be interesting! Think I might actually watch it.

It would be great if Biaggi could breakup the Kawi party at the front.

Max qualified on the second row (5th). Should still be interesting to see what kind of pace he can hold for the length of the race... We'll find out tomorrow.

The way Max rides, it looks like someone on a nice Sunday afternoon riding "the pace" on a mountain road.

Unbelievably relaxed riding style, smooth as butter, yet at 44 did quite well.

Sixth place in both races... ahead of Michele Pirro who has raced recently in MotoGP. Pretty damned impressive!

So much for busting up the Kawi party....I can't believe the racing aspect of MotoGP is more compelling than WSBK. Seems the parity in WSBK is long gone.

Maybe next year Yamaha will launch a factory effort in WSBK with their new YZF-R1. If they're smart, they'll bring over Cameron Beaubier to race it. I'd LOVE to see Josh in the series, but they probably consider him too old. : (

Does getting Max to ride a wild card or two indicate that Aprilia feels it has taken a wrong turn somewhere and is unhappy with the feedback it gets from its riders?

When I was at Road America I asked Josh Hays when he was going to move up and he said no one wanted him because he was too old. He was very quick and robotic with his reply so I bet he gets asked that a lot. Im not sure how old he is but its too bad because he is a truly skillful and competitive rider who would do well in Moto GP or WSB. I'm pretty confident he would do much better then Josh Herron.

Too old? I thought 'How arbitrary...' until I looked him up. Hays is 40. That doesn't make the assessment accurate, but I can understand nobody would take a chance on him. Too bad...He's probably somewhere near his "intangibles" prime. Reflexes, race smarts, etc. Richard Petty was 42 and Earnhardt was 43 when they won their last championships. Plenty of 40yo fighter pilot Colonels I'm sure throughout history as well.

Sorta makes what Rossi is doing in MotoGp look that much more amazing....

Hayes and company must be sick at where American road racing is at right now...feel sorry for him. Tape delayed races do not cut it for me. I have lost touch with MotoAmerica and I was a rabid fan.

Max just turned 44. And after two years off, he STILL beat the majority of the grid this past weekend (even though he didn't get a podium).

They said he had superior machinery compared to the other Aprilia riders. What's up with a wildcard entry having a better bike that the factory riders?

Max wouldn't enter unless he thought he had an edge.
He's Aprilia's test rider and has done many miles on the new surface at Misano this year - that's why he was up to speed so quickly in free practice.
It's only 18 months since he won the title and he's had plenty of time on the bike since then.
Haslam/Torres had no experience of the RSV4 at Misano or the new surface.

Bayliss' effort on the Duc was more impressive considering that he last raced in 2008 and I don't think he's tested much since 2010........ and he's 46!

Having said all that there's no doubting Max's class.

Talking of comebacks......will Casey Stoner be able to drag the old Fireblade to a win at the Suzuka 8hrs with Michael van der Mark/Takumi Takahashi against Bradley Smith/Pol Espargaro/Katsuyuki Nakasuga on the new R1 and Alex Lowes/Josh Waters/Takuya Tsuda on the Suzuki?

Re: Casey Stoner, I don't think so. The Honda is past its use by date.
And poor Troy Bayliss fails to qualify in the mile dirt track races and breaks his leg as well. He is amazing trying to learn to compete at the top level in a discipline he has little experience of. The plus side is that he will go on to bring mile dirt track racing to Australia as a promoter.

I hope the new R1 goes well. It looks really impressive in BSB with Josh Brookes on board ......and I think that is with a pretty stock motor.
They clearly couldn't make it work for Michael Dunlop at the TT but a probable WSB comeback would be good. Not sure Melandri is a great choice of rider though. I'd love to see Beaubier/Camier on the Yamaha next year.
