Jim - Returned from the Bub's event late Friday and will be heading back Thursday. Anyone interested in going and need a ride or need equipment transported? I'll be taking a mostly empty pickup.

The Bub's event was a hoot. They do need to refine things so it runs smoother, but it was a pretty good first try. On Thursday I worked with Woz, who was the starter on the long course, and hung around with people like Dennis Manning, Terry Poovey, Jim Odom, Dave Campos, Aaron Wilson and Timbo Horton. What more could a bike groupie ask?

E-mail me or call 510-481-5409 if you want to go or need something transported.

Glenn

Jim,
This year is a bust for me.
Unexpected expenses (college tuition due to a FASA f-up) really put a dent in my discretionary spending.
The screw up is corrected but I had to pay the first semister tuition out of my pocket.
Not only did this mess up my Bonneville plans, it delays my bike mods!

Good luck to all participants, ride hard, ride safe, ride to win...
Most of all, have fun. Take lots of pics and let us poor non-attending schmucks know what is going on..

I hope the salt has dried out a bit, sounds like last week was very wet.

Brad

FMJ,
I'm out this year - getting married Oct. 2, and a buddy is getting married in Chi-town this weekend, so I can't make it - using up all my vacation time, etc.
But if anyone's in the NJ area 10/02 reception starts at 4:30 - live band and free booze.
: )

It's Alive!!!!!!I fired up the bike with the new motor and lo and behold--it fired right up.Can't be my fault as this is my first ground up Buell motor.Sounds suitably nasty, turbo spools nicely.Heading to dyno at Vallejo tomorrow afternoon.
If you had asked me last week,I would have said "not gonna make it,got too far behind with the whole wrong rods thing".I even prepped my Triumph Sprint ST for the 150 club cuz I was gonna go no matter what.
Hope to leave thurs sometime.YIPPEE!!!!!!

FMJ - That's great news. Now that you've built your first Buell motor should Aaron be afraid? Guess we'll find out this weekend.

I'm shooting for a Thursday morning departure. Let me know if I can be of any help.

I just e-mailed Paul and will be picking him up from the SLC airport on Friday.

The weather is looking good in Wendover and the salt should be in great condition. I see some speed in the future.

Good luck FMJ.

I'm not going. I bought a house and I'm getting hitched, not much discretionary income.

Thanks Glenn see you in SLC.

"I'm getting hitched, not much discretionary income."

So I guess the getting hitched is for love not money .
You and your Dad will be missed not the least by the young ladies in the bar. Good luck in the future. You to Philly.
The rest of you will just have to read about it after the event but we will have a beer or ten for you. 45 hours to take off and counting.

Jim, those rush to finish jobs always seem to work for me, after raising the stress levels. Your efforts are inspiring believe me. Good luck, and fun.

The sanction of marriage is a wonderful one - whilst it lasts. Not many go the long course on that one these days. Can't blame a guy for trying though, but a woman should never come between a man and his motorcycles. If she does, it's true love and you're screwed . You should take a leaf out of Paul's book. Leave the misses at home, even if it's 12000 miles away.

Congratulations dudes. I'm just pulling your legs. Love is a wonderful colour.

Sean,
My first race got red-flagged, so I'm on a restart : ) She told me to go to the salt, btw. And I was planning flights when my buddy Kev called to let me know he was getting hitched that weekend in Chicago. The lovely tinytot has already agreed that our first anniversary should be celebrated on the Salt, preferably running a record class bike.
btw the future Mrs. Philly says thanks for the vote of confidence

thanks for the pic Josh
hehehehehe

That's the second mistake David. A chic with expensive tastes - judging by the manicure

Nice finger. Does it go all the way up to her hand?

Take care of her man. That's the secret to eternal life.
