any chance you could improve on the lack of 2013 TV broadcasts for AMA Pro RR, SBK & MotoGP? I wish I could do that sort of thing  Hopefully the old SpeedTV will find a spot for this stuff. The british TV schedule has just been announced so maybe we are going to know soon. | ||

Excelent video,I remember about 20 years ago I read an article in a moto mag (I dont remember which one)about the TT races.It described the conditions of the track while racing in the 1960's on an old Triumph,going from the sunshine in the city to stone roads and into fog so thick you couldn't see 10 feet infront you,all at full throttle!!! | ||

I have a couple of questions. 1. Does anyone have any idea what Guy Martin is saying I think I understood about 1/2 of what he said. Maybe our Buell riders who live in the British Isles could translate. 2. They said 70 riders qualified. Does that mean all 6 races draw from the same pool of 70 riders or is there more riders than that and only 70 compete in any one race. 3. How often do riders run out of gas? 4. How are the starting grids set? On the whole an enjoyable show to watch I have always wanted to go there. Maybe someday. | ||

Guy is very funny but I have to listen about 3 times before I start to get it. I try to relax my brain. I have the same issue when I visit Scotland or Northern Ireland Riders qualify for each class with only 70 riders starting each race. Some riders enter all the classes they can, some only selected classes. I don't think it is a strict 70 bikes in, that may be the maximum but the slowest guy has to be within a certain percentage of the fastest qualifier to get in. Between all the classes not including the chairs you may have 100 riders actually racing in one class or another. The fast guys have a bike for each of 5 races but others will bring a 1000 superstock bike and run it in that race plus the two superbike races. Folks do run out of gas. It is very importatn to get the tank very full during the stops, 2 for the 6 lap races, as it is almost 40 miles around and MPG is not real good while racing Even some top guys will ahve that happen, something happens to make the bike run a bit rich and you could be in trouble. | ||

I think they are having real trouble getting anyone to step up and sponsor this. It seems that DMG has not been able to attract outside sponsor at any where near the level they thought they could. The racing is great BUT MC racing is just not very popular here. The dam X games get more coverage as they attract a far bigger audience. It is sorta a chicken and egg thing, if they can get good coverage they can show what an exciting product they have but if no one watches no one wants to pay for coverage. I think the France family has to bite the bullet and put cash to buy TV. They lose a bunch for a couple of years and then when it proves a hit they make a bunch more. Not sure they want to take that gamble. | ||
