Author Message   1125rcya Posted on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 - 03:50 pm:        I bought an agv Valencia 1 pc, and the thing is it seems about a 1/2 to small. Basically it gives me moose knuckles if I stand straight up, but when I have a slight lean forward if fits great, and fits perfect while riding on the track. I bought a cup and that takes care of the moose knuckle and pain in the nuts. So the question is do you think my leathers are to small? Thanks for any opinion. ASSUME THE POSITION - and then judge the fit. Any off the rack suit is going to have sacrifices, and every manufacturer is going to have different fit. They are having to make a suit that fits a wide range of people per size. The only way to get a suit that fits is to go custom. I'm not saying it's the cheap way to go, but many times it's not near the cost you think it might be. I got a custom suit last year, and the difference in comfort is unbelievable. Tight where it needs to be, loose where it needs to be, I put it on and the suit seems to disappear. That alone is worth the money, I don't need to be on the track thinking about my suit. Also, a suit that fits correctly is going to be safer for the rider. It's a win win. Will getting the leathers wet, help them stretch a little faster? Off the bike I tend not to stand straight up, unless I get out of the top part of the suit! Race leathers are cut so they fit when in the racing crouch position. Look at most pro racers walking around in their leathers before a race and they look very awkward indeed The most important thing is that you can still walk after a crash, however awkwardly
