we are going to wilmington ohio next week to try our hand at LSR racing. our class is P/PP-1350/4, bike number ''2662''. we are running a completly stock / oem 2002 X1 white lightning, in the production pushrod class. our goals are to get threw tech, rookie / rider meeting, and rookie / lic pass. if we can make a full power pass that would be a bonus. if anyone is in ohio make this a must see racing event. check it out on the ECTA [east coast timing association] site, more info on landracing.com. Cool! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm about 30 minutes from there and have a decently stock of tools. I have a busy weekend, but I can be creative if necessary.

Shoot me an email if you need anything...

4 stroke.

this is a get my feet wet bike. we are building a 98 S1 for our goal of 200mph. got a loose plan of 5 years to be ready for the 200mph attempt. the s1 will be p/pm-1350/4.

so far its been alot of fun to get this machine race ready. i have done 99.5% of it myself. had some help with the aluminum welding. and andy simon lets me use his dyno.
we already got some performance parts and silly ideas to make the x1 faster between events. but this winter we start the S1 project.
it does help to have a complete [and i mean complete] machine shop geared for american v-twins at home.

when i have a minute and post on landracing.com's build diaries i will get some pictures here too.
well got to get back at it

Kind of redundant to have to say 4 stroke in pushrod class isn't it?

DONT MAKE THE RULES JUST GOT TO PLAY BY THEM. but really nothing the ECTA has asked seems unfair or unjust, most everything is safety related and is pretty cut and dry.
this is my get back into racing venue after a 6+ year leave of absence. i am having a blast,

ok, we made it to ohio, got threw tech and made our rookie / rookie pass for our 125mph lic. we ran a 117.6mph run, short shifting and finding out that the bike would not pull 5th gear.
2nd run we spun it up some and felt like we were on a good run when my foot and the shifter had a disagrement and went threw the lights in a false 4/5 nuetral. 117.1mph.
3rd run was picture perfect, little bit of sun 7+mph tail wind and i did everything coorrect. 132.6mph, 4th and final run was 130.1mph.
learned alot, had fun and made new friends.

The jump from 130 to 150 is LARGE. A stock motor won't do it. Even a very well tuned stocker won't do it.
Dan will correct me but I think you need around 110 at the rear wheel to have a chance.

Regardless if you hit it or not, it is a hoot!!

not large....huge! LOL. but we need goals. yes more power is needed. we are taking the next 2 ecta races off to remedy that issue. the last runs on the engine as is, is next week at the all harley drags at atco nj. then we put the small but costly pile of parts that are on the bench in the X1.
