Author Message   J2blue Posted on Saturday, July 16, 2011 - 10:19 pm:        Last night the stars lined up just right for me. I know I'm still a rank newbie, though. With only 5 bikes showing up, and with the only experienced rider dropping out before the final, I not only won my first round of elimination but I won the final next round! Yahoo! I won on a hole shot. The kid I went against was really doing well and ran his ET real close. I was way off my ET but had a great RT at 0.095. I wheelied bad off the line and lost about 2 tenths. My RT: 0.095 His RT: 0.378 My ET: 12.272(12.0) His ET: 12.154(12.1) Margin: 0.0651 I used a friends hand held practice tree all week getting ready for last night. Seems to have paid off. The only thing that didn't pay off was the normal $50 gift certificate that the class sponsor gives out. The race director said they didn't drop it off like they usually do. ARGH. I was going to use it to get the slider gloves they now require. Oh yeah. The kid was about 100 pounds lighter than me on a Honda 600. I really need to work on my diet and lose some pounds. ps: I corrected my RT after looking at my slips. The 0.050 came the round before.
