Finally got a podium finish in BOTT Middleweight last weekend. The oft-abused XB was FINALLY ridden well enough to get a podium. I was on the ONLY non-Ducati and passed the 848 of Max Cappellari on lap 5 when he seemed to slow slightly in Turn 2 (everybody's favorite sweeper) - allowing me to pass on the outside. The rest of the race (last 4 laps) were unremarkable in that I just kept my head down and keyed off of Sunny in the T1 stands figuring that if Max was gaining on me, she'd be making a MOVE IT!! MOVE IT!! sign - otherwise she'd just visibly applaud. While I'm glad to have finished on the podium, I'm more than a little bit pissed that the 848s are allowed into this class, pushing out all the historically competitive machines (Buell, SV, 650 Ninja, 748 and 749 Ducati) - but such is life... | ||

Hahahahaha . . we've always been on the receiving end of that whole "cheater bike" thing . . I'm not sure what to say. But . . that is REALLY cool to see you on the box and I love your "old tech" method of reading SS (Sunny's Signals). Well done! | ||
