http://www.rscycles.com/Bikes/moto3/NSF250R_press_ info.pdf Specifications for the new NSF250R Honda race bike. More than a few mentions of mass centralization, and the muffler location will look familiar as well. The 2mm offset crankshaft is neat, and the reed-valve vacuum-scavenged crankcase is a nice touch. (I believe that NASCAR has been using vaccum scavenged crankcases for a while now). Not a Buell, but interesting anyway. |

There are a few of the new Moto3 bikes that have been announced now, adn they all look technically interesting. The problem is that they are all dog slow even compared to a 125 2 stroke! I suppose we won't notice when they are all riding these things (Moto2 is exciting despite still being slower than the 250s they replaced), but it certainly isn't a step forward yet. |
